Former E46Fanatic - New Member from SoCal

Hi all, my name's Jon and I just got signed up.
A little about myself: My first car was a 2005 silver grey 325Ci with black leather interior. I had her for 2 years before she got totaled (T-boned at around 40 MPH from the passenger side) by a Lexus RX 350. This happened just a few months ago.

I had thought about getting another car after insurance gave me my check, like a G35, S2000, 350Z, etc. but I was really attached to the E46 coupe look, plus the fact that I knew it was very durable/safe (it DID save my life after all). Also, by then I was more knowledgeable about the E46's common problems, pricing of parts, mods, maintenance, etc. An E46 M3 I admit, was and is too much car for me at the moment so I looked into a 330Ci. Lo and behold, a bit of Googling and I found out about the existence of the BMW E46 330 ZHP :biggrin

So, here I am, a few months after the crash, with another 2005 silver grey E46. The only main visual difference is that the interior is grey leather and the ZHP package.

She is my DD and I have already had some light modifications done. Literally, as in LED interior, 35-watt 6000K HID M-Tech fog lights, Umnitza Orion V2 angel eyes, etc.

Also. I used to be an active member of E46Fanatics but the lack of intelligence and maturity there led me to delete my account. I hope ZHPMafia will be more helpful in helping me prolong the life of my ZHP for as long as it can run without the usual flaming and personal attacks found on E46Fanatics. :eeps

Thank you. One thing I hate was the time constraint right after the crash. I had no realistic options besides buying this ZHP coupe asap or wait for who knows how long until I could find a ZHP that met all my requirements. I gave in and just got this instead, in the end.

I had originally wanted: silver grey paint or any blue, coupe, preferably stock, must be manual, must be black interior, definitely not grey.

they are Avant Garde M310s. same design as the VMR V710, but slightly better quality.

Is there a monthly gathering for members in SoCal? I had met up with a few other E46Fanatics and MFEST crew a few weeks ago in my city prior to having my account deleted.

Because I asked the moderators/site founder to. They asked why, and I said I couldn't take the comments anymore. Asking for legitimate help was futile, kids have replaced actual "E46 Fanatics" on the forum, respect for others' opinions/views was nonexistent, etc.

Not really, a lot of the SoCal members know each other so we just meet up on our own. We should get something together soon since there have been a bunch of new members lately
