-When you think that your Imola Red is more special than any other non-M E46 color because it's only available on the ZHP.
-When you always have to explain to people that the Alcantara interior IS OE. A "shop" didnt do it.

I love this forum, car and all you guys. Is it bad that I havent been on Bimmerforums in a long while??? :/

Man! I was at an event last November and there was a guy there who I've met up with before. He'd point me by cuz I was in his trunk, then he'd mash the pedal and I'd have to wait almost a full lap to get the point by again. This went on for like 3-4 laps until I was "hand gesturing" as loud as I could and finally he gave me a lift.

I'm seriously considering window vinyl that says "I NEED A LIFT" in reverse backwards notation so it shows up in rear view mirrors correctly.

On the plus side, it gives me practice "presenting" myself. :)

If you don't track your car, you wouldn't know.
A few of us track our cars. Sometimes we'll be riding someone's ass on the track, someone who has a much faster car than yours but (1) either can't drive it as well or (2) the car can't handle the corners as well even with a good driver. When a straight approaches, they will sometimes give you something known as a "point by", which means "pass me on this side". Problem is, our ZHP's aren't "fast" cars by any means, so if they have a faster car, give you a point-by, and do not lift off the throttle, that means we can't pass them, and have to deal with them holding you up in the corners again for a whole 'nother lap.

"I need a lift" pretty much means, "if you're going to give me a point-by, lift off the throttle so I could pass".
I've been a victim of this countless times.

When staying at a hotel, you:

1) Use google maps of the hotel layout to find the best place to park before you arrive.
2) Refuse to let the valet take your car.
3) The valet parks your car out front where all the best cars sleep at night.
4) You make sure you can keep an eye on your car from your hotel window.

The conversation goes more like this: "What's it going to take to keep my car in front all night?" They throw out a number. I either accept it, work it down a bit (compromise), or pass. About 90% of the time, we find a number that works for both of us.

When you notice a parking spot in front of your apartment has opened up, you decide to move your car so you can keep an I on it from your living room. But before you go outside, you wash your hands because your steering wheel deserves clean hands.

I usually have a hell of a time deciding where to park when staying at a motel and of course always make sure I get a room facing the parking lot.

I can tell already that I am going to be even more obsessive about clean hands now that i just got my wheel re-wrapped.

It should be $190 minus the 10% discount he's giving us so $171 but I don't think that includes return shipping. I paid $176.50 shipped. I think he may have charged me $150 plus shipping because that was his price when I first started talking to him about doing mine. At any rate it's A LOT cheaper than anyone else I've seen doing it. I have.....I wonder though if while I'm shifting I'm not sliding my arm back and forth a bit across the armrest and the Alcantara would mess with that. Need my shift knob back to know for sure but that what it feels like to me.

3. When you have 4 or more mandatory criteria for parking space selection.

4. You find yourself turning off the traction control when it snows.

5. When we spend more time on ZHPmafia.com than Bimmerfest & Bimmerforum put together.

6. When you have defended the "M" badging on your ZHP to an E46 M3 owner.

7. When you find yourself explaining that the ZHP-optioned 330 is the best E46 car ever created.

8. When cleaning the wheels takes longer than the rest of the car.

9. You always find yourself trying to prove to others that your ZHP is not an M3.

Even just coming up to match the merging traffic's speed limit is a thrill, and when you get the one jackass that won't get over or won't speed up or slow down to let you in (ya know driving 101) then it's time to hammer down and then glance in your rear view to see traffic that optically appears to be standing still! Then once safe, fall back to cruising speed. I may speed, but in only quick bursts to get past drunks or morons on cell phones.

You know you have a ZHP when you're thinking of going to spend two weeks skiing 4,000 km away during the holidays and, to you, driving there is the preferred transportation option. :)

You park the newer & more valuable vehicle in your fleet, a 2011 AW/black sport pkg x5 no less, outside so the ZHPs are inside and protected from the pollen & rain. Wife doesn't get it but puts up with my shenanigans.

When you pick your daughter up from school and she says, "Thanks for driving this car. The kids that were making fun of me, shut right up when they saw this was my mom's car." (I felt awesome by the way.) And then I reminded her, it was the least valuable vehicle we own! (Btw, they were making fun of here b/c she's a tomboy.)
