Isn't that just one of those Dynavin clones?

Looks like the Enco unit. I believe the lower price units have the same types of issues... some quirkiness/flubbed functionality (mostly in the software) and then support is hit or miss based on the company. That's why many go with Dynavin. I was always tempted with my old zhp (didn't have nav) but when I researched it more I always backed out.

Cause my 325 is my baby and I plan on using it for snowboarding trips this winter and want a nav unit jus sayin
I mean come on I just put the all weather floor mats in and put the Thule rack back on. I'm ready for winter. Never took of my snow tires. Still have plenty of tread left since i've been drivin the 335 all over the place.

Looks exactly like my Enco B146 unit...
I bought mine directly from szenco.com, contact person is Jolly (see thread in e46F)... I paid $420 (shipping included) and mine came with back up camera.
The first unit i got was dead and had to return it, getting it replaced was a nightmare to say the least, you need patience, lots of it.
I would say im part of that small percentage of buyers that got a bad unit, so dont think you will get a bad unit when you buy it from them,
i was just unlucky i guess.
I got a replacement after 4 months (thats why i said earlier that you need patience, lol) and i got it finally installed.
It is a decent navi unit, especially if you have iGo Primo and not iGo 8.

I really would rather not deal with a company overseas. I just don't want to deal with haveing to work around the time zones and the shipping nightmare if it were to a bad unit.
I've never had any issues from ordering from Amazon, plus I have Amazon Prime which gives me free 2 day shipping and extremly cheap overnight shipping.

Eonon is in China they just happen to have products on Amazon. Which makes it easier to buy from.

I see where you are coming from bbbuuuuuttttt.....
If i do the performance upgrades such as Tune, headers, down pipes, and drop it like is hawt...That car will be going nowhere in the snow. I'd rather not use it as a snowplow lol
While were on that subject....how hard would it be to swap the auto tranny with a manual one and install a clutch?

Hahaha I'm kidding buddy, just kinda backwards logic I guess.
I drove up snowboarding in both my 328xi e90 and my 135i - both on snow tires, and decently low drop setting without so much as a hiccup. Just saying the xi is a winter champ so don't deprive it of what it does best, you'll really be missing out.

I wont deprive it, but my 325i is set up to run on the snow too and RWD is fun in the snow lol. i will drive the 335 during the winter too but mostly the 325 for the long trips i think...unless i want to buy a new roof rack and snowboard mounts for the 335. Although it does have the cold weather package so it has the pass through in the rear seat....and i just found out my back seats fold down :facepalm

I drove my Zhp year round for the past 4 years with winter tires an dropped. I did tie potassium chloride bags over the rear strut brace for weight and that thing was a stud in the snow. 225 Dunlop sp winters on 17"s an it cut through snow like a mofo. Enjoy the rwd in the snow!

Sure it's possible but why would you do that? For what it would cost you it'd be way more financially beneficial to you to trade the car in and buy one with a 6spd already in it.
The tune will help the steptronic feel more fun and sporty. No it's not a 6spd but it'll get better.

What would it take to install factory Navigation in place of the factory radio business CD? Do you need the head unit and the computer/module?

If you go with a after market unit such as the Dynavin is the unit and a AC relocation bracket all you need?

At a minimum, screen, bezel, nav brain, GPS antenna, HVAC control moving kit, and potentially some wiring harness.
That said, it is definitely doable and I know a few people who have. Mk IV nav is simply fantastic with the amount of community modding that is available now via XOutpost(the X5 forum). Night mode in interior matching orange color, perspective mode, Trapster database loaded into nav maps with audible warning, all the features of the Intravee, and so on. Coupled with the speed of the Mk IV, it's hard to go elsewhere.

100% agreed. I've used many nav systems, aftermarket and OEM (other cars), and the OEM MKIV nav is my favorite by a huge margin. It's not overly flashy/cool looking, but it's incredibly fast and efficient, and enables lots of things to be added as if they were stock.
It's the only option I consider mandatory (for me) on the entire chassis.

Cool thanks for the replies! Sounds a bit exspensive thou, what are you looking at around $1500 then for OEM Nav?
Hmmm....Decisions Decisions.

I'd do OEM - just keep your stock radio, take the navi out when you sell the car and you should get your money back minus $150-200 when you resell it.

I've retrofit e46 OEM MKIV Nav into two e46s. Here's the definitive guide with EVERYTHING you need, wrapped up in place, nicely. 25 MB each for the PDFs, so save them locally:
