Hey all. Just checking to see if anyone has ever encountered valve stems failing in succession. One of my rear tires was flat Monday morning. The tire shop said the valve stem was leaking, and they changed it free of charge. This morning a front tire was flat with the same problem. I took the car to the shop again and had them fix the bad one and change out the other two for peace of mind. The tires are only two years old. I never thought I would be doing preventive maintenance on tire valve stems....

PHEW! I thought we were talking about engine valve stems!!
I have no further input on the subject.

OP... funny you mention this becaues this is exactly what I did today.... preventive maintenance on valve stems. My front ones were getting harder for me to add air to the tires so after doing this last time I decided to have all of my valve stems completely replaced after speed balancing my tires.
Unfortunately, valve stems sometimes leak, especially when they are old, so after a few years, it is a good idea to replace them anyway...
