...I finally found my ZHP.

Been looking for about 9 months before I finally found my match - a 2004 ZHP sedan in Imola Red, manual, leather and navigation. My search was long as I wanted to find a low mileage vehicle. Patience paid off as I picked up the vehicle a month ago with just under 26,000 miles. Although I will be doing a few minor modifications over time, the car is in excellent condition.

Thanks to all on the forum. The feedback has been very helpful in my search and continues to be a great resource with the work I have planned.

It's good to have finally "arrived"!

Beauty of a ride. What kind of deal/steal did you get?

Picked it up for $20.5K. Probably overpaid a little...but after searching for so long, finding an excellent condition vehicle within 500 miles of home, I couldn't afford to miss out on it!

Nice pickup. Already appears to have some lighting mods, if not others? Nice pickup... Coming from someone else that paid a premium for exactly what I wanted, be happy with that, you get what you pay for. :thumbsup

Thanks, all!

I swapped the original Alcantara steering wheel with the Perforated wheel...much better. Also added Home Link...and gained a little confidence in DIY mods.

Biggest chance coming will hopefully be a stereo upgrade. HK sound is poor, some speakers have a static sound, and the amp may be failing and the sound occasionally fades. Also want to add Intravee so I can connect my iPod. To keep costs down, I'll probably need to do any upgrades myself...based on what I've read from others, I'm discovering that it may not be as easy as I would like!

BSW is the easiest speaker/subwoofer mod for these cars.

Looked into BSW...would do it if they had an amp ready to replace the OEM one. The marginal improvements reported of just replacing the speakers doesn't make the ease of installation as appealing.

They're supposed to be working on an amp replacement

Hmm, on second look, it appears that you're headlights have been replaced or at least messed around with. You have the silver inner bezels found in premium package cars, but the performance package overrides that, so they should be black. Perhaps your burnt bowl issue has already been dealt with. Did you check the inner corner of the lights (the corner near the kidney grills) for either the ZKW or AL logo? Would be worth a look!

Congrats on the pick up, love the low miles. Definitely seems worth the price.

Hmmm...not familiar with this issue. Did look at my housing and didn't see either of the logos you mention. Should I be concerned?

I always thought the housing color (black or titanium) was a choice that could be ordered.

Concerned? No... Just make sure your output is adequate at night! Safety first! Look into my retrofit thread in the lighting forum for more info... Post #77 here (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?7459-E90-ZKW-projector-bowl-retrofit-My-progression...&p=193433#post193433).

Those are the logos you will be looking for. If you don't see them, not a big deal, it just means you most likely have replaced lenses, which isn't a bad thing!

As for the housing color, I believe it was part of the packages. Premium got the titanium, other packages got black. Not sure if you could independently order THAT individual feature.

Stellar purchase!

Regarding the iPod integration - go with USA*Spec. I did a ton of research and came to the conclusion that it was the best available solution, and I haven't regretted it - works exactly as advertised, flawlessly and reliably. Just added one to my Z4M yesterday after being so pleased with the ZHP application.

Appreciate the feedback. I've already ordered an Intravee based on my research...appears to really shine when paired with the navigation screen. Still waiting for its shipment, so no verdict yet. Right now, I'm focused on how to improve the stereo with minimal cost and cutting/modification.

Time pays off. Patience and willing to drive far away are two things that makes for a great car purchase. I wish I was at those miles again!

Looks great and good luck.

and what another has said, the inner headlight surrounds should be black on a ZHP.

Looks great (and is the 'proper' ZHP color!! :rofl )

Enjoy the low milage, you will find yourself going for long drives for no reason now and those miles will pile up. The only problem is removing the silly grin from your face.
