I've noticed over the past couple months a slight oxidation on the rain rails where the roof racks go and was wondering if anyone has had similar problems and if so what you have done to bring back the color. Ill take a picture later in the day when im on break to better show what im talking about if this seems a little vague. Im headed in to work but ill try to snap a pic when im on break.

Tried to upload a pic but tapatalk keeps crashing when I do. Hope I made some since when I described the problem...im guessing I should compound it then polish maybe that will clear it up?

Curious to see a pic, you can e mail it to me if you want @msn.com and I can post for you. It's just plastic so I would think it should be easy to take care of with some compound and or wax.

Here is the picture Will sent me. If I had to guess, I'd say that looks like the paint is wearing off the trim from exposure to the elements. If some wax doesn't do anything to it then it will probably need to be repainted.
Hopefully I'm wrong though.

I had pretty severe oxidation on mine as well. Just bit the bullet and took it in to have em resprayed. They pop off easily enough and were painted for less than $200 at my local shop.
