Wiring Input

Hello friends,

I am in need of some wiring advice. I am getting ready to hard wire my radar detector and I am looking for suggestions on what to wire it too that will power on and off with the key.

I know the sunroof switch or something like that is popular but in my case I will be using the Escort Smart Cord http://www.amazon.com/Escort-79-000041-01-Direct-Wire-SmartCord/dp/B0003NN83K/ref=lh_ni_t.

So instead of being wired up in the headliner it will be down in the center console and I plan on mounting the remote mute button in the ash tray.

I was considering the power supply for the heated seat buttons but I am not an electrical guy so ill hope some one else has some suggestions.

I just picked up on of those add-a-circuit things from autozone and wired it to the fuse box.

Hmm thats not a bad idea. Was there a specific fuse spot you put it in?
