Thankfully we have such a small site at this point. I'd kill Media Temple if the site had thousands of users.

Anyhow, it's your typical Media Temple error again: overload on server.

Just have to let Media Temple get a handle on the issue this morning.

All we can do is wait.

Just created a new thread with a dozen pics and text. When I hit submit, I got the database error message. Looks like I've gotta do it over again but next time I'm copying it before I hit submit.

Here is the latest dispatch from Media Temple:

"We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. There was a resource issue occurring on your Smart Pool v2 server. We went ahead and resolved this issue. Please respond to this ticket if your service experiences similar problems, so we can try moving your service to a MySQL Burst container to see if that provides stability."

Media Temple continues to work on the problem. As you can tell, site is still up and down.

The issues seem to be resolved now. But I will not update the title of this thread until I get official confirmation from MT.

Just wanted to update this thread for anyone who happens to come along -- through a Google search -- and finds this thread (as someone did this morning).

I would never recommend Media Temple's services to anyone. While their customer service was excellent, the hosting service sucked. I'd rather be up 99.99% of the time and get crappy service than be up 80% of the time and get awesome customer service.

If you are looking for a host that is reliable, keep looking. Media Temple is not it.

I moved over to a new hosting company in February. Could not be more happy.
