View Full Version : Need tire advice - 235-40-18

I ned tires for my 2005 ZHP 6MT coupe with OEM staggered 135 rims. NTB is runing a special to buy two tire get two tires free. They do not have the OEM sizes in stock for the deal. They do not have 245-35-18 in stock either. They DO have 235-40-18 in stock in the warehosue.

Is it ok to use 235-40-18 on all four rims - the 8s and the 8.5s?

Have to order this morning to meet the deadline of deal. Thanks

I'm currently running 225 in front and 235 in rear. 235 will fit in the rear and front. It'll look slightly stretched in the rear and slightly bulky in the front. Here are a couple photos of the 235 in the rear:

235-40-18 is perfect imho. That's what I am running now.

Yea that does look pretty good. I was highlighting there will be a difference between the front and rear look with a staggered setup. I hardly notice, but I do like the look of the 225-235 on the 8" versus the 8.5".
