Notice coolant light the other day. Topped off the coolant and found this in the morning: http://img.tapatalk.com/631101ff-74d5-5d21.jpg slick to the touch like coolant. Went in search for a slow leaker. Thought maybe ET cap but found this: http://img.tapatalk.com/631101ff-751c-8443.jpg

Now I just need to wait on ECS or someone else to deliver next week. Would do the dealer but they want $2.25 for the o-ring and it is 45 min away.

Hit up DW. I think he knows where you can get the o-ring at Lowes or something like that.

I wish this was sent with a Galaxy S3

Seriously awesome forum and members. I'm glad it was easy enough to spot. I wasn't too excited to see the coolant light come on.

Lol. No shipping cost. You would be getting for free. Figured I would post the pic, in case you just wanted to run to Lowes real quick.

hmm... my brain is elsewhere. I'll check out the local home depot and let you know if I need you to ship it. prob no reason for you to waste time shipping it when I have one 3 min away.

Getting that temp sensor out was the biggest PITA for an o-ring. Prob should've just done the whole cooling system with everything I had apart lol.

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit and got everything in order. No more leaking from the sensor :)

Say, how'd you get the temp sensor out? You mentioned it was difficult, but I thought it kinda just popped out. :dunno

If it does pop out, anyone know of an ingenious way to minimize the coolant leakage? (I've gotta replace my o-ring...)

Pull out, put thumb over hole.

You have a new o-ring?

I should get my new ring in from bavauto friday. I thought it was a quick install?

I used channel locks to pop it out since the dexterity of my fingers wasn't enough. Plugged with my pinky and put the new o ring on and put back in place. To create room for me to work I removed the fan. Pretty straight forward, but the fan is always a pain.

Very quick. And I have a box of orings for any of you guys that need them. A stamp is cheaper than shipping.

Wish I had seen it sooner. Thanks for the offer.

Thanks for the offer, Dane, but unfortunately this is something I've known about and have been putting off for a while :eeps (Which means I have the ring, lol)

So if my pinky is over the hole, how do I get the o-ring off and then back on? I feel like I'm going to be in one of those old cartoons where they're trying to plug holes in the boat with more fingers than they have!

I think I may have to come to terms with the fact that there will be coolant lost :)

If you only had a buddy.

I suppose you could stick a rag in there or something else to plug it while you remove the oring.

Maybe I can get a dog paw in there. :rofl
