The guy right below this thread did a Euro delivery... not sure about individual. I've never seen one (though according to some of the marketing material, the ZHP was a product out of the "BMW Individual" program... and Imola can be considered an individual color). I'd love to see an Estoril ZHP.

I think one issue is that the costs that the individual paint added made the price rather close to a similarly equipped M3 (already, a 330 w/ ZHP and other "essential" features was nearly the same cost as a base M3). If one got the individual leather too, you'd definitely be at the same cost as an M3. And since the M3 already had a few unique colors and Nappa leather available, it didn't make much sense to order a ZHP through the individual program.

All that said, I'd love to see a ZHP in Estoril blue (I guess the clubsport is close enough)

The original owner I purchased my car from went to Europe drove the car etc and then it was shipped here. He said it was a really cool experience. Sadly he does not have any of the info from it.

Can't say I'm a fan of yellow on the E46, and I absolutely despise grey interiors... so I wouldn't call either car beautiful (well at least the second one is a more pleasant shade of yellow with a black interior). They certainly are unique though.

I still would love to see something like an Estoril or technoviolet ZHP.

Estroil is so drool -.- Even thinking about getting it repainted to that colour.

:jawdrop

I LOVE the way phoenix yellow works with the ZHP rear bumper. The front is better suited for an M3 with that color, but the back is incredible looking. I love phoenix yellow

Looking back at this page. I REALLY wish a couple sedans with these two colors would come out of hiding! They would be great to see!

And change from possibly the rarest E46 color I've ever seen? Come on man! Your shade of green is just right. :)
If I couldn't have Imola, I'd have Estoril or Oxford Green. Nothing else will do for me. Only rare colors for this ZHP. ;)

This is a great thread topic - unfortunately I don't think many members on this forum are the original owners of their cars.

Is anybody here the original owner - I'm not doubting there are some, just don't think there are many...

I am. The first and last new car I've bought. Knew exactly what I wanted and have loved every mile since.

I want an i8///M (assuming they ever build it and I need to win the Lotto) w/Euro delivery...

SoCarolina delivery would be cool but not the same

as for Individual, there is a member on here (haven't seen him post in a long time) that has an Individual Dakar Yelllow 330Ci(c) as seen in post #4

Well JP, it's not like you can't have both Euro and Performance Center delivery. :biggrin

Passed that very performance center and test track today.

My color is not rare, nor did I take any special delivery.

I WILL however drive the track soon. Just waiting until the next event there.

I could have sworn when I checked into it a few years back that you couldn't do Euro delivery on ///M models but they are on the list now and there isn't a minimum number of miles you have to drive over there anymore either.

Not true. A buddy of mine took ED of his E90 ///M3... It's an interlagos blue sedan with an insanely beautiful individual interior color scheme. One of the nicest BMWs I've ever seen.

You certainly weren't allowed with the E46 M3, but it did change at some point during the E90's tenure.

2,200 miles

Fun to do, no doubt, but don't think of it as a huge money saver. Beyond the obvious travel expenses, you're also looking at not having the car (but still paying for it) for up to 2 months after you drop it of for its USA voyage. Less bothersome if you pay cash but those monthly payments on a finance or lease deal would be a little annoying while the car is AWOL.

BMW made exceptions here and there allowing Euro Delivery on the E46 M3. I met up with a group that did so in summer, 2002. There was a cover story about them in July '03 Roundel. You can read it at www.bmwcca.org (http://www.bmwcca.org). I was driving a Z1 and met up with the M3 guys at what was then the ED center as they saw their cars for the first time. Another guy in the group had done ED on the Z8 in the photo.

Is there any way to tell if our car was euro-delivered? Were Euro-delivered cars built at a different factory than other ZHP's? My early ZHP is somewhat "oddly" equipped as though it might have been ordered and possibly Euro-delivered...

I am the second owner of my car, purchased 5/21/2006. She turns 10 on Sunday, built on 03/03/03!

aurelius

Same factory. That being the one at BMW's HQ in Munich.

Not definitive re whether yours was a Euro Delivery but a pretty good indicator would be if it has the first aid compartment under front psgr seat. These are required in Germany. The rest of the car is 100% US spec.

Imola.ZHP

^ I put that in myself... I think they are required to have that rear triangle too, which mine does not have...

Excellent points to consider!

Besides the one in my sig... here are a few more - including the obligatory Neuschwanstein photo.

In the excitement to get to the airport, someone forgot to charge the camera battery - and this was before I owned a cellphone with a camera..Once we arrived and picked it up, thoughts of taking pics faded...

Code 863 Europe/dealerdirectory.. I'm not the original owner, but I found out my car was a euro delivery after looking up the option codes, and noticing some interesting differences in my wife's car and mine. Its all starting to make sense now. I'm the second owner of my Imola sedan and the original owner was in the military. There are still military base pass stickers with bar-codes on my front windshield. They are holographic and have some sort of airplanes on them.
