Hotmail.com Subscription Email addresses

If some of you are not receiving emails, even though you have subscribed to threads at ZHPMafia.com, it is likely due to your email address.

My server company will not deliver email to most hotmail addresses. If you use a hotmail address, and want to receive email notifications for subscribed threads, I recommend that you use an email provider that will not get blocked by my server.

You can change your email address by going to your settings here at ZHPMafia.com.

I thought this was going to be an announcement about how to get an @zhpmafia.com e-mail address. I don't think I would use it, but it would be cool to have for not so special e-mails.

Nope. If everyone wanted one, I could never accommodate everyone. Not enough time in the day to issue them (they have to be issued manually). As such, I have decided to not do it.

But I do still see several members who are not getting subscribed-thread emails. Those hotmail addresses in particular are not getting delivered.

Just a reminder that several of you guys are using Hotmail email addresses to get notifications about threads you're subscribed to at ZHPMafia.com. My server is blocking your email reminders. You will not get notifications as long as you have a Hotmail address.

I recommend you change them. If you do not, I will go into your account and disable subscriptions. I continue to receive "undeliverable" email notes in my mail box.

Tonight I am disabling all hotmail email accounts. If you have a hotmail email address, I will neuter your subscription ability. As it stands, if you have a hotmail address, you aren't receiving receiving email from ZHPMafia.com anyhow (of any sort). You won't be missing anything.

Anyhow, please change your email addresses if you'd like to get email correspondence from the site.

No worries. I was only doing it to help you guys. No one who has hotmail accounts is receiving email from our server.

Figured you guys would want a way to start getting notified of subscribed threads again.

For those who had hotmail accounts, you currently don't have any email account at all. Please add a new email address (something other than hotmail) as soon as you can.

Hmmm.....I don't seem to be getting e mail notifications anymore. Must have started some time yesterday. I had switched from my MSN (Hotmail) account a few months back when Hotmail started acting up. Other than signing me out of my e mail acct. all the time it was working fine.

Any ideas Marcus?

EDIT: I just checked my trash folder and it looks like it's been since Wed. that it hasn't been working.

Not sure, Barry. Haven't received any notes from server about emails being rejected. Hotmail seems to be the biggie. Msn email may be disliked as well. Gmail, by the way, seems to be most favored.

Same here! I've been having to go to my "settings" page to find new posts for a few weeks now.

People with hotmail addresses will continue to be shut out from receiving emails from the server. If you would like to receive notifications, change your email address to something that is NOT hotmail.
