Good looking car with quality pics. Very nice, GLWS... I'd be in if the car wasn't black.

If it does sell this is definitely my last black car. My wife's X5 is also black and between the two its ridiculous.

Also just remembered that the battery was replaced around 85k as well.

I believe I looked at this car last summer for a fellow member outside the DC area member, did you buy it from a fireman last summer? If so, the car was nice, just as described cosmetically, nothing harsh just some corner bumps. I found it sluggish in high gears at low revs and recommended he clean the DISA. He cleaned the DISA and came back to see me the next day, performance improvement was phenomenal, he was ready to kiss me for the recommendation. The out of town person backed out and the owner (think it was Al) said he had a local buyer interested, was that you?

Yes, that was me. I spoke with you on the phone too before I ever purchased because I had seen your post on here. Everything is still the same on the car other than the additional maintenance that I've done including the FCABs. RTABs, Battery, and other "little" things here and there.

The only issue I had was the 2800-3000k stumble and the DME update took care of that. Otherwise everything has been great and I've done some additional maintenance on the car since I purchased it last summer. The PO cleaned out the MAF sensor and that seemed to take care of any other hesitation, the DISA valve has been good since my ownership.

Because of the original paint and VIN's I thought it was best to leave the bumper rash as is. I've never been a fan of repainting bumpers because of natural driving occurrences like rocks and road debris. Other than that this car is in super condition in and out. As I mentioned above, unless I get a good offer it will stay in my garage. The only compelling factor to sell is my test drive of the 335i.

Well, GLWS. My opinion only, the E46 is a better looking car, tighter handling, and the ZHP is just a better overall package. Can't fault the power of the 335 and the advancement of technology and comforts but I just don't find it as nice a total solution as the E46. You've seen the videos, "Girls gone wild?", well the ZHP is the result of "engineers gone wild" but with a bean counter making them keep it affordable and a logistics guy making them keep it maintainable. Perfection like this rarely happens.

Can't disagree with you at all. The 335i is a pig compared to the ZHP but I just can't get over the power. But again, I'm not 100% sold on selling the ZHP. If I can find an interested party I'll make it work but otherwise I'm content on hanging on to it.

I am intrigued: was there anything else in addition to the power that impressed you on the 335i with M pkg?

How was the handling?

The handling is great, but at the same time I wouldn't say it's better than the E46 ZHP. They each have their own characteristics that are good. I'm just hooked on the overall power it puts out (stock), but I'll get over it. I will more than likely just hold onto what I have.

ADDITIONAL UPDATE: Just received the OEM reman wheel in the mail today and it's going to the shop in the morning to replace the front wheel that currently has the small bend. I will include the additional wheel in the sale as well.

If you happen to notice another decent one for sale in our area I'd really appreciate a heads up. Glad to hear you're not running off to a 335 just yet ;-)

This is a pretty solid deal for a <100k 2005. I think its spot on for the condition. Kudos on the excellent FS thread and sane price.

This is a very accurate statement in my opinion. When my ZHP was totalled, I could not find a ZHP and was looking at 335s. The E46 ZHP is a reliable, easy to maintain car - it was a great commuter in Atlanta.

After flirting with the 335 heavily I also agree with Bruce now, he's a wise man. I'll be back in a ZHP one of these days, but for right now I just don't need the extra car, maintenance, gas, etc. I would also go for a silver gray model instead of black. I'm tired of caring for black cars.

I just read what Bruce had to say about the ZHP and I wholeheartedly agree! Even though I have my ///M and really enjoy every aspect of ownership with it, I really enjoy driving my ZHP on a daily basis for commuting back and forth to work. This has been the "perfect" daily driver and I feel saddened by those who have suffered the loss of their beloved ZHPs. Bruce nailed it perfectly by his comments about this "not so special" car - well said Bruce! :thumbsup
