BMW E46 Business CD Radio code

Could someone please confirm if the E46 Business CD head unit that comes in our ZHPs requires a code to enter upon reapplying power after the battery has been disconnected? Don't want any nasty surprises tomorrow when disconnecting the battery tomorrow.

I'm finding mixed results in a Google search. Who here has disconnected their battery and removed the radio?

No code needed. I've had mine disconnected for a week before.

I didn't have to put in a code when I installed the OEM head unit after taking the after-market unit out. The battery was disconnected when I did it.
