Well, I was run off the road on mothers day, early morning, and this was the end result. Sorry for the crappy pictures. I've been in the hospital since Sunday and my dad went to check out the car and didn't get the best pictures.

As for me, I ended up with two broken ribs, a punctured lung, pnuemothorax, broken leg, brain swelling and bleeding, and lots of cuts and bruises. But considering the shape of the car, I consider myself to be a very very lucky man who's thanking the Lord that I'm still breathing. Needless to say, the Z is totalled though :(

Damn Speed.... I am so happy you're ok. Hope you only continue to heal quickly. Thanks for checking in.
Think the car saved your life? Or does it look worse than it was?

Wow glad to see you're alive!
People are crazy... Just yesterday morning some guy pulled out in front of me and proceeded to brake check me after I slammed my brakes from not hitting him. I beeped my horn and he stopped the car and got out screaming at me, like I did something wrong. I really don't know what goes through peoples minds..

Wow, Speedracer - Like everyone else has said, glad that you are alive and able to post this thread. The car can certainly be replaced, but it is the life inside that is more precious! Get well soon and good luck with a fast and speedy recovery.

Thank the Lord that you are still with us. The Lord was on your passenger seat riding shot gun. I might be the wrong guy to do the preaching, but I do believe in karma and second chances. You are still with us means He has something for you still to be accomplished in your second life. Recover well and do His bidding......
I guess I broke my own rule of no sex, politics and religion on our threads.......Is this an exception to the rule?

wow, so glad you are still alive. coming from someone who recently suffered some seriously traumatic orthopedic injuries, i know the pain, sadness, frustration, etc...but the old adage time heals all will prove true, you will heal with proper treatment and TLC...
screw the ZHP...in the end all we care about is your well being. best wishes for a speedy recovery...

Thank you everyone. I'm very very greatful to be alive and to have a second chance to live my life better than before. Das Boots, I do agree with you. The Lord has plans for me. My parents are some of the most honest and faithful Christian people you could ever meet. I haven't exactly been the perfect son to follow in those footsteps, and I think he was trying to get my attention. I'm not sure another ZHP is in my future, as much as I do love this car. I think if I get another BMW, it will have to be an M3. But for now, I'm just trying to plan out the important changes I'm going to make in my life, not which vehicle I'll be driving next year. I feel like I was saved by the grace of God because of my parents faithfulness to Him, not my own, and I don't want to take that for granted. This could have happened to any of us, so take time to reflect on your life and find areas that you can improve as well. And thank you all for your support, the BMW community is definitely a great one to be apart of.

Just saw this now - so relieved to hear you're alright after what looks like it must've been a horrifying experience. Here's hoping for a fast and full recovery, buddy.
I saw your thread on the E46 forums! That is seriously amazing that you are okay. Glad you're okay, sorry about the ZHP :(

i'm still in lots of pain, having trouble sleeping because in a large bed i find myself trying to move around and between the broken leg and broken ribs, i'm getting woken up multiple times in a night. i can't complain too much considering the damage done to my car. i could easily still be in the hospital paralyzed or something like that. so yes, still in a lot of pain, in the recovery process, and trying to plan out what is going to happen in 6 weeks when i get back on my feet (work, transportation, etc). Thanks for all the well wishes!

Best wishes! I really hope that the other driver didn't flee the scene. Saw this on e46 as well and wondered if you were a fellow mafia member. Broken limbs Will heal. Be Strong, God has a plan for all of us. He Kept you safe for a reason.
P.S. Don't go Audi (I made that mistake after owning an e36 M). The day I traded it in for the Zhp I had a smile from ear to ear driving home from the dealer!

I do love Audi's, but in my price range, I'll own an M3 or another ZHP first! I have my eye on a very very nice E30 that's been restored though...I'm a sucker for the E30 done right, and the price is right too. All of the E46 M3's I've found are still $23K+ and I'm not fond on dropping that kind of cash on a daily driver.
