I thought I would ask in here. The M3 Alcantara.....can the material be bought on its own? Has anyone heard of anybody being able to purchase the material?
My buddy brought up the topic when I was looking at the AW BMW 330 ZHP the other day.
pic for ref....

There was a set of those for sale locally not long ago. Awesome seats. Might want to check Bimmerforums since a fair number of E30 and E36 owners have recovered seats and may be able to point you in a direction.

That looks like a competition package. I'm guessing there was no sunroof on that car, Nomar?
Recaro sells some sweet seats that look just like that. Several of my E30 M3 buddies have that interior. I bet they know where to find the material.
I'll check and get back to you.
Also, Dave, a member of this site, may know as well. I'll have him chime in.
Cool picture of them in the E30 M3:

Not sure on the comp package. Pic is just a quick google search for the int.
You guys are super quick to answer....I love it, lol. I'll be sure to pass the info to my buddy.

Plus, the one I posted is a cloth seat. Don't think it's alcantara. Still, there are some cool seats out there. If I ever get an E30 M3 (very likely), I will be putting those sport evo seats in there.

The OP doesn't look like alcantara either. I was unaware that the M3 seats ever had alcantara on them as an option.
Heck, I've never seen an M3 even with cloth. I know they exist, but have never seen it. Good luck finding a pair if you go that route.
I'm sure you can buy the cloth for it. Ask the dealer; I just did a quick search and couldn't find any part numbers though.

Maybe here, last one......

Doesn't look like it really tells you how much your $300 gets you though. And I agree, I think that's just cloth.

Typically, whenever Realoem lists something as "ended"....it means it's no longer available.....and holds true for this I think....

Its not available at Tischer either.

Are you referring to my link Dane? Part # 51941938942 (last one on Realoem) comes up at Tischer for $295.20 for me. Hard to tell from the description what it is though. Is it "Cloth Impuls/anthracite" or is it "Upholstery leather, Walknappa"

Yup....you are correct. The last part there is still avail.

What exactly were you looking to do with the material OP? Headliner? Interior trim? Seats?

my buddy was looking to do seat inserts, door cards and maybe armrests.

Leather bolsters/cloth seating surfaces rock - that's what my seats will be when the alcantara "dies" someday
