So while driving at a constant speed on the highway all the sudden these lights came on... Any ideas? 3912

Wheel speed sensor. Doagnostics will help pin point the problem though.

Could be something else within the ABS system as well.

How were road conditions?

How long since last alignment? How old are tires?

Was raining tires are about 50% and I was traveling at a constant speed (no cruise)... About 80 mph dsc is not functioning nor is abs

Preemptively.....you could remove and clean your wheel speed sensors. Pretty easy. Free to try.

You will see em, plugged into back side wheel hub carrier. One hex head I believe secures them in place.

great write up the conditions that the guys car was under were nearly identical to mine so hopefully that is what the problem is. I wonder if its worth it to just replace them all and have peace of mind that they shouldn't go out for another 90K miles.

o.O jebus perhaps I should just replace the offender.... I have been lusting for a Sprint Booster and this would put the brakes on that for sure

Could be a host of issues. I would hold off buying the wheel speed sensors until you can have it properly diagnosed. Cleaning them may clear up the issue and is where you should begin.

I hope to get the codes read tomorrow... Until then I am pulling the sensors and cleaning them... I really hope they are what's causing the lights

I went down the path you're going and my issue was not the sensors. It was the alignment.

took the wheels off and scrubbed the sensors down with some concentrated super clean. also scrubbed where they mount too and after driving the car around (before the 3rd T-storm of the day hits) the lights all shut off. I'm taking it up to the dealer ship tomorrow to have my buddy read the faults on it just to make sure its not something else. Thanks again for the help I really appreciate it.

cut it close on the test drive... we just got home and the tornado sirens started going of... got the car put in the garage out of the reach of hail and now its time to duck and cover

My car had same lights pop on Friday driving home on the interstate. I stopped, turned off car, and restarted. Lights were off and have not come back. Fingers crossed!

two most common causes seem to be the wheel speed sensors and the steering angle sensor.

Just had the codes read and it was the right rear wheel speed sensor... Hopefully the cleaning will correct the issue and the lights will not come back

Well the lights came back on while driving on the highway in identical conditions... Aside from replacing the sensor my friend suggested cleaning the speed sensor impulse wheel.... Anyone have an idea where the hell that is?

Found this info for you Steve.

Absolutely the first thing to try is removing and cleaning the sensor. The sensor are essentially magnets that pick up all sort of metal particles over the years. Also, the pulse generator on the wheel hub can collect debris. So, shine a flashlight in the hole while turn the wheel and look for blobs or grease or other debris and if found romove it.

If the sensor cannot get a good reference reading when the car is started, then it throws a fault. Debris can be the cause.
