Looking for a E46 BMW Performance CF Strut Bar, I know there are hard to find. If you see one for sale or know of anyone who's looking to get ride of theirs, please let me know. Willing to wait a while as I don't really want anything else... right now.

My guess is yes and it just has two part numbers for some reason. I don't know of anybody who has tried testing one on a 1er/E9x and E46 but I would think it should work.

Yeah,

These strut bars are harder and harder to find, especially brand new never used ones....those who have them are the lucky ones...

Keep looking.....one will turn up :thumbsup

right, I guess I wasnt clear enough. Its a good looking piece though, and might function just as well, correct?

(I am also wondering if CF is worth the extra expense over metal?)

Interesting, the E90 Strut Brace may have the same part number. However it is certainly a different part.

Worth it in my opinion, lets not discuss that here as it can be found in a number of different threads.

I see now, so it's the same CF piece with different mounts depending on chassis

That's what it looks like JP...unfortunately we can't use this for anything other than wall decoration...:)

I guess it makes a better boomerang than the E46 version

I found one a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I noticed was that it has slots for the strut bolts, not just holes. This allows for play, back and forth in the slots, which negates its' functionality, in my opinion.
My Motorsport brace for my E36 M3 only has holes.
Sure is pretty, though.
