You know Jlevi was down for 3 days. I bet that cost them considerably...

Weird stuff going on with the site right now.
This will likely result in people getting booted off the site -- because of hang ups.

Server rebooted. I have a trouble ticket into my host. Will see what the deal is. If this inconsistency continues, I will have no choice but to take my business elsewhere.
Stay tuned.

I would continue to expect up and downs for the next hour. I just got a message that my site was reset. Whatever that means.

For the record, I am on the hunt for a host that I can rely on. It's been up and down with MediaTemple since the beginning. I'm generally pleased but I can't rely on them to deliver consistent performance. The mornings are the worst.
I've narrowed down my selections. I need to call ServInt and see what they can do for me.
I've got a baby appt. this morning, otherwise I'd be on the phone with them now.

Yeah....something is up.
Site is about 5 times slower than "other sites"

Note from MediaTemple:
Mark,
The issue you have reported has been identified by (mt) Media Temple as possibly being part of a wider problem affecting more than one customer. An internal incident (INC# 1775) has been opened to track the issue and to provide you collective updates as progress is made toward a resolution.

Things are getting better now. Hopefully the host has got its shit together.

It's because the time stamp is glitching right now. All related to host issue.

Yeah. I'm putting myself in all of your shoes. You want a consistent speed. I would too if I was a visitor to this site.

All right. I am looking to move to ServInt. The difference in speed should be night and day. It's a VPS, instead of a shared host. I'll be paying for the new host with the donations that I've been receiving from you guys.
50 GB Storage
1 TB Monthly Transfer
768 MB Guaranteed (1.5 GB Burst RAM)
Hardware RAID 10
CentOS 5 Operating System
As a comparison, our current server gives us 128MB.
I'm still researching how much knowledge I need to run this new VPS. I'm a newbie when it comes to administration. I'm a quick study, though.
