Finally going to pull the trigger and do this... I'm going to the UK for work, so figured I'd just pickup the parts I need while there.
Can anyone that's done this retrofit advise please? My car has memory seats and is a 2004 ZHP with 10/2003 build date. It has the ribbon mirror connection (see picture attached)
This parts list is from some old notes...
Parts:
51167153117 For vehicles with Fold-in outside mirror and High gloss shadow line: Heated outside mirror, memory bus, left
51167153118 For vehicles with Fold-in outside mirror and High gloss shadow line: Heated outside mirror, memory bus, right
I'm pretty sure that the mirrors are the correct part number, but not 100% sure about the switch..
61316901383 For vehicles with Fold-in outside mirror and Seat adjuster, electric, with memory: Switch f mirror adjust./fldng bck funct.
Once I get everything, it should be just plug and play, right? Thanks!

have a safe trip. This thread probably will have the best information out there for you.

Car's production date is 03/2003 or later-RIBBON CONNECTORS
x1 Heated outside mirror, memory bus, left P/N: 51167153087 $438.73
x1 Heated outside mirror, memory bus, right P/N: 51167153088 $438.73
x1 Purple Switch f mirror adjust./folding back function P/N: 61316901383 $67.34
-And you should already have in your car:
x2 Control units, mirror memory P/N: 61356916054 $125.69 (x2) *
But I am guessing since we have high shadow gloss like you mentioned, it should be the ones you said.
For vehicles with
Fold-in outside mirror
and
High gloss shadow line
S313A=Yes
S760A=Yes
02 Heated outside mirror, memory bus, left GLANZSCHWARZ 1 03/2003 51167153117 $467.85
02 Heated outside mirror, memory bus, right GLANZSCHWARZ 1 03/2003 51167153118 $467.85
It should be plug n play! Be careful routing the ribbon cable. That K-bus line is a pain in the butt if it breaks!

Thanks Charlie! Was debating doing this or the M3 retrofit... Finally decided that this would be easier--since I didn't want to do the M3 ones unless I did powerfold...

From Delmarco's post... he lists the non-ZHP mirrors (flat black base, not shadowline)
My part #s are correct for our cars it appears.

Wow, perhaps I take my mirrors for granted.
The previous owner installed ///M side mirrors and the autofold feature...I rarely use it though.
Good luck, hopefully it goes well. :D

Looks like you have a prefacelift sedan--that is substantially easier as the mirrors both use copper wiring instead of the connector. Are you sure they are OEM M3 mirrors? There are aftermarket kits, but they look much more like e39 M5 mirrors...
BTW, looks like you live in Vermont--I'd never use them there either. I parallel park daily on the streets in Boston, so it I'm going to use these regularly!
BTW, I ordered the mirrors and the switch--about 8 days out from Germany. w00t

Be sure to take pics showing where you made the connection to power the folding motors :)
Looking forward to seeing this Steve :thumbsup:
