The End of an Era. ZHP has been sold.

So, this will be the last post that I make about the old ZHP. I sold her this weekend with 162,500 miles on it. She was a good car, and will be sorely missed. It was time that I moved on to something with lower miles. I really wanted a 335 4dr, but it was just out of my price range to get one with low miles on it and CPO certified. So, I have had to shift gears into a different manufacturer. On friday i went to Charlotte and purchased this guy:

2009 Audi A3 Quattro. It has the DSG with paddle shifters, full sky moonroof and sunroof (two of them) and bluetooth. 54,000 miles, CPO certified to 100k. Tint is scheduled for Wednesday. Hope to get some gunmetal CSL reps on her soon. (a little BMW irony just for fun)

It is not a zhp, but it still has pretty good giddy-up and will last a long time for me.

thanks for all the well wishes, guys. I dont konw about the meet as of right now, but its not because i sold the car. I am going to be away from home every weekend during May, and I may have to give up the mafia weekend to take care of my son for my X-wifes sanity. I dont know yet, but hopefully will know for sure tomorrow. Illl keep you all posted. I really want to come up and see everyone. BTW, i pulled off the BMW intake before i sold it, and have posted a FS thread if any of you want it.

Awesome cars those are, I honestly like the new
Audis a lot. I was contemplating getting a hatch as my next car if i dont get a BMW. I have a thing for the new golfs and may grab a TDI. I would like to know more of the reliability of the DSG trans as I hear it's a good set up.

Haha....you guys crack me up! I am Sporting the only A3 to ever run a ZHP license plate! Havent found another forum. looked at one the other night and it reminded me of "that other bmw forum" right off the bat. Dont think ill ever be lucky enough to find a place like this for the new whip. Dont know about meet yet. Will try to get my May sorted this evening.

Whitexi, I hope the dsg tranny is solid. I have seen some reviews that complain about it, but you can find anything if you seek it out. I got the DSG over the manual thinking the tranny was supposed to be bullet proof. It is really a manual tranny with an auto mode. It even rolls back on hills while the clutches are engaging. In sport and manual mode, the shifts are incredibly quick using the paddles. No more waiting for a shift like the zhp was.
