I've been looking for some new rims for my ZHP. I love the M135 but want something lighter (I believe they weight about 25 pounds each). I've been looking for something affodable, stylish, and light.

So far I've found this: http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_garage/BigPic.jsp?wheelMake=Enkei+Tuning&wheelModel=Raijin&wheelFinish=Hyper+Silver

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=4678801242HS&wheelMake=Enkei+Tuning&wheelModel=Raijin&wheelFinish=Hyper+Silver&showRear=no&autoMake=BMW&autoModel=330i+Performance+Pkg&autoYear=2004&autoModClar=&filterFinish=All&filterSize=18&filterBrand=All&filterSpecial=false&filterNew=All&filterWeight=All&sort=Weight

They weight 20 pounds, look nice, I've heard of the brand, and for the price it sounds too good to be true. But I'd like to know if you guy think this is a good deal and if worth getting a wheel that is "5 pounds less"? Will I feel any difference? just from changing my current M135 wheels to these?

Would they fit my current tires? and ultimately do they look nice? (sorry for so many questions).

I like the wheel, but in these pics the car needs something. Not sure what - maybe a slight drop or pushed out a bit.

Your right. The wheels do look nice though. It'd be nice to drop my car, but how would i push the wheels out a bit? with wheel spacers?

Spacers... Or get a different rim with ET35 offset.

Those are nice. I think they would look even better in gunmetal. Maybe in flat black, but that could be a little too "tuner" for a ZHP.

I'm a big fan of Rays engineering/Volk wheels. But I'm not sure they would look good on ZHP's. Plus I believe they are one of the most expensive wheel companies out there.

What about weight do you think id feel the difference while driving?

To help you out I've put together some pictures. I was checking these wheels out the other day while sitting in the shop waiting on my tire.

Starting from fattest spokes to thinnest spokes.

Raijin ($900):

I'm not a huge fan because the spokes are too straight without the narrowing near the outer edge of the rim. The thickness of the spokes almost matches the center hub region which is... dunno just not normal.

Lusso ($752):

My favorite of the bunch because it is the most similar to a VB3. The spokes are smaller than the central hub so it looks like they narrow even though they look like parallel lines if you look closely.

EKM3 ($716):

Too many spokes that are too close together. Dane had a set at one point that looked pretty good.

honestly looking at those Enkei's...I would rather get some quality CSL reps from somewhere like modbargains. they have staggered and non-staggered setups. $799 plus shipping for a full set.

http://www.modbargains.com/BMW-CSL-Style-Wheels-Staggered-Fits-Non-M-and-M3-cars.htm

or you could save up and get a set of the forged CSLs for ~$2k.

i'm thinking of doing one or the other. CSLs on a ZHP = :drool

I second this. I'm looking at going square with either the csl reps or vmr 710s.

Just for a bit of a different line/opinion, these APEX ARC-8's look quite nice. http://www.apexraceparts.com/ARC-8-18x85-Wheel_p_52.html

And, at 18.45 lbs each, they are a big improvement over stock.

Yes, you will definitely feel the lack of unsprung weight. Anyplace you can trim weight, go for it.

per this site: http://www.measurespeed.com/bmw-rims-wheel-weight.php our wheels weigh 28.5 / 29.0 lbs F/R. so even with the cheaper CSL reps that's ~5lbs of unsprung weight savings per wheel.

i also see that the style 71s are really light too. i love the looks of those. doesn't BP run those? are they available for purchase from any retailers?

WOW! I knew they were heavy, but I didn't know they were THAT heavy!

I think it will look the best on IR out of most colors (AW and TiAg also pull it off nicely). the contrast is small in terms of light/dark but the tonal difference is obviously huge and beautiful IMO. I honestly wanted nothing more than an IR ZHP with gunmetal/anthracite wheels when I started looking.

Here is a nice shot of Imola with the Anthracite ARC-8's. Makes me want to sell some stuff once my current tires wear out.

Even though I've never been a huge fan of 'colored' wheels, I always liked silver, those are definitely a great combo!
