So I ordered some angel eyes from Khoalty and I am just not feeling them.

They are more of a 6000k-6500k color temp. There is a hint of blue in them and I dont like it. They are also REALLY bright. Like crazy bright. Dont really like that either. They have a non OEM look to them. Definitely looks like "Hey look, these are aftermarket!"

I'm looking for more of an OEM 5000k look. Just clean white light with absolutely no blue and also something that isnt so overpoweringly bright. Alot of people may like these AE's but I'm not feeling it.

Which brands should I look for? Does something like this even exist?

If you decided to unload those, and they fit my car (ZHP sedan, halogen), I'd be interested.

Are you a coupe or sedan? I love my Umnitza Orion V2s, 4300K. Not the best picture, but you may get the idea.

I took this shot with my iPhone. This product is from eBay for $60 LED he provides 1 year full warranty. It's bright but not super bright to illuminate the whole headlight. Very noticble at daylight. So far we like it.

I had Umnitza Orions.

Proper Exposure, nothing done in PP. Cloudy Skies. IMO I thought they were fine. In bright sunlight they weren't drowned out, but didn't scream anything weird.

Have you ever considered installing a rherostat?

I ordered the same kit, and it should be here this afternoon with a bunch of other parts... I also ordered 6k hids to match the halos though. led brightness can be dialed down by adjusting the voltage going to them, just like they do on the dimming with the interior lights. You could make an adjustable circuit to dial in the brightness to where you want it... If I get time I will do a DIY for a circuit, but I will not have time for a week or two.

I've always said, I'd consider getting the 4300k AE's if someone would make a DIY on properly adding a rheostat.

More yellow than what I'm looking for. They look great tho.

Too "blue". Thats the issue I have now and I'm not really feelin it.

This would be a fantastic thing for me! I would love to dial them back a bit.

Here's what they look like but in real life they are brighter and more "blueishishish". Pics make em look different than to the eye.

Understand. They aren't as yellow as they appear in this pic, but when put up against the white lights, they would lean toward yellow.

Just found a thread with rheostat info. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=748478&highlight=rheostat+angel+eyes

Post #7 in particular. This is what I am going to do. I dont need to install anything inside the car and cut into my interior.

I have Umnitza something or other installed by PO. Similar/same color temp as what Monk3y posted and definitely on the slightly bluish-white side. However mine look more segmented--easier to see the individual LEDs. Maybe they are the Predators? They do sort of say "Look at me, I'm aftermarket!" but I like them. I just wish I could turn them on without turning on the corner lights. I know it can be done but I'm too lazy to tap a new circuit, and my DRLs are already off.

It's as easy as tapping into the main accessory wire man. 30 seconds.

Well, that's easier than what I was originally planning... I will end up doing a version of that post, but you can use just one of the trigger wires, leave the other disconnected, then diode isolate the wire in the relay box, and from the light in the driver foot well through the rheostat, and into the halo trigger wire... That way it is the same brightness at all times
