Does anybody have a link to a DIY or the BMW instructions? I basically know what I need to do, but I just like having it in front of me

(Dane, I think you installed these... do you have a PDF?)

I have been sitting on mine for over a month waiting to install. This is the DIY I will be using http://www.bmw330ci.net/projects/struttower.php

These have been on my list for a while. I have a note to order 2 per car but the DIY linked above implies they come as a pair.

To those who have purchased:

Do they come as a pair or do we order 2 of them?

Part # is 51717036781

From BMW...I am sure that $14 price is seperate...like JP said.

I noticed the bolts are short on the stock struts. Does this have enough thread for a strut bar?

My FSM nuts are flush... With plates and strut bar. My FSM's are Lemfedor.

is this necessary? i dont track my car but i have seen the front strut metal and how easily it gets warped from normal driving.

Does this add any height that needs to be compensated for when lowering with coilovers? as in if i install and lower the car and get aligned... then install these plates, will I need to adjust and lower the coilovers more and get re aligned.

I don't know if it's necessary, but why not? They're $20 and are good reinforcement for the strut towers. They add maybe 1 mm of thickness, so I doubt you really need to adjust your coilover height unless it really bothers you and it shouldn't really affect your alignment.

A lot of members have these plates, myself included.

I have them and recommend them especially if you have bad roads in your area and as William said they're cheap and don't affect anything negatively.
