Engine wants to die when coasting to a stop

If I coast to a stop after going 35+ MPH the engine drops way below idle and has even died when coasting to a stop after sustained interstate speeds. I don't have any codes, and the motor has new o2 sensors, plugs, etc. This just started in the last couple weeks.

Have any of you guys ever had this problem?

Intake Camshaft Position Sensor. You'll pop a code soon. P0340.

Wait for the code to replace.

You mentioned you just did all your ICV cleaning and the like. Make sure your lower intake boot is snug and secure at the throttle body. I didn't and ended up with a car that would stall on all right turns.

It's probably not the issue, but I'm just throwing that out there.

Well guys, turned out to be something pretty simple. When I reinstalled the intake boot I didn't have it rotated just right so it was tweaked a bit and cracked. I replaced the boot, no more issues.

If it was the original, they like to crack anyway even if you reinstall them correctly, sometimes before you remove them in the first place!

Yeah it was. When I did a bunch of maintenance a few months ago I VERY closely inspected the boot and there were no cracks.

So the lesson of the day is if you have your original boot even if it isn't cracked just replaced it if you have it off.
