Just snapped a sunrise picture from the back of my house.

I'm using a Droid, which takes pretty dang good photos for a phone.

You're 3 hours late. :p

Nice sunrise though... I'm always at work by the time the sun rises here. :(

You kidding me? I'm lucky I can turn my wife's phone on. Haha.

I was sitting in the living room (I have a 270 degree view; I can see east, north, and west). That picture is looking to the northeast -- toward the desert. Wish I was in bed. Years and years of living on east-coast time has it so that I can barely sleep past 6 a.m., even when I go to bed at 2 a.m. It's a fricken curse now.

When I got up this morning, Dane, I thought about the party tonight, which will require that I stay up until at least midnight. But I'll tell you what. I am blowing out of there shortly after midnight. I need my sleep, baby.

i have to wake up at 4:30am for work every day. My sleep in is usually 7-8am. The wifey gets mad that i don't stay in bed with her lol

That's a bit early for me, Ray.

Meanwhile, I've tried to sleep in until 8 a.m. Doesn't work.

I have the same curse. The eyelids snap open by 6am no matter how tired. Definitely gets old after a while.

i can sleep till 11am if im allowed...which is very rare. Must get it from my dad who worked 16 hour days 6 days a week at his firm, but on sundays he slept till noon while us kids and mom went to church. I always thought it odd then but now i know, he had a good idea.

I thought only old people have issues with getting up early for no reason. I sleep either until the alarm goes off for work or the kid wakes up, which is essentially a built in alarm clock. Lucky for us she has been sleeping until about 8 or so on the weekends!!

I usually wake up in the 4am hour and I'm at work before the sun comes up. I can see the world get brighter through the window for the most part, but I don't get to enjoy all the colors. This morning I was somewhere in the Carolinas when the sun came up and I had the sunroof open and thoroughly enjoyed it.

That would have been great. With the music cranked up.

I have 7 kids and a zhp that needs constant modding attention and affection. What is this sleep, that you speak of?

Good point, DW. With a newborn on the way, I better stockpile some sleep now.

For damn sure. You won't get any sleep with a newborn, and if you do, count your lucky stars.

I'm going with the odds. Won't be getting much sleep.

+1.

Agree - stockpile that sleep. Also, anything you want to get done in the months following the birth - get it done now. Had to take my car to my indy mechanic for stuff I could DIY because I just didn't have the time. But then again... our daughter is our first child...

My daughter did really well from about 6 months on. In bed between 8 and 10 (messed up with the time change). Sleeps through the night. Wakes up anywhere from 6:30 to 8:30.

The system can be bucked-- both my girls were sleeping through the night by 6 weeks old. :roundel

I usually am in bed by 2 or 3am and up at 8am. There is too much neat stuff that happens when I am asleep to miss.

Yep-- I always love pointing out to the 8-hour-a-night folks that they're spending one third of their existence asleep....

It is healthier to get 7-8 hours of sleep compared to the miniscule amounts that some of our members seem to be getting. :p

I prefer 8 hours myself. When I don't get 8 hours a night, I end up having a day during the month where I will take a 5-hour nap. Me no likey that 5-hour nap. Haha.
