It is worth noting that the griot's 7 amp rating is apparently overstated, in that comparison it never drew over 4.9 amps. That said, several reviews by pro guys sing praises of the griot. Apparently weighs a little more and helps cut down on the vibes to your hand. This price is very competitive for what you get.

I hesitated posting that article because I did not want it to seem like I was posting it to dissuade anyone from the Griots. I only offered it because it has a nice tech data table comparison to the 7424 and meg buffer.

Fact of the matter is, for what you get (namely buffer + 5 pads) this is a great deal.

There are several threads out there by pro guys reviewing this buffer against a 7424 with positive results. Worth a google.

its the 10 foot cord, in my professional opinion I would stick with the shorter cord and pick up a nice extension for it.
