Thought I would post this up here for my ZHP brothers.
Thanks to Active Autowerke and their great support, this past weekend installed my new AA Stage 1 Supercharger. What a difference a little extra cylinder pressure makes.

I am in love with how the car feels now. I am planning on putting it on the Dyno March 3rd. Stay tuned.

Sorry for the lack of pictures, but white iphones and dirty hands don't mix.

Next mod sitting in my garage is my m3 rear subframe and diff with my M Brembo BBK. I hope to have that done by the end of March.

Wow looking good! :thumbsup

What made you go with Active Autowerke over other superchargers?

I want to do this so bad but I'm knocking on 90k so I am worried that extra pressure will cause me to break something

My car has had the TS2 on since 60k and now I am at 96k. Runs perfectly sweet, no leaks either. I don't track it or abuse it, but gets to feel her boost quite often!

I want to add some atmospheres... In the future I will get this done! I considered the m3 subframe and diff, but the axle ratios available are too steep for me to use in my DD car... Have you considered that? I thought about doing an m3 trans along with the subframe and diff when I go supercharger...

As much as I enjoy my ZHP, after nearly 7 years of ownership, I am starting to miss the apocolyptic rasp of the 02 M3 I had before I purchased the ZHP - and the power...

I must admit, the AA Stage 1 kit is tempting - but wouldn't it require drivetrain/suspension mods to make the best use of the additional power? My Z has reletively low mileage (52k) but it also has the dreaded Vanos rattle. Wouldn't supercharging exacerbate the rattle and potentially cause more top end problems?

Given that it's an '06, and you're first owner, you can probably swap for an equivalent '06 M3 for not much more than a few grand.

I think that is where I am headed. Though I've yet to find a lower mileage 05 or 06 M that isn't listed near 30k.

I've just started to track used M's on the major used car sites. The frustrating thing is that nearly 60% or more of the cars listed as manual are actually SMG. If anyone comes across an 04ish M3 in silver or silver gray with black interior (preferably cloth), manual (i.e 3 pedals) with less than 70k and priced under 26k, please let me know.

The KBB price for good+ on the Z is 19k, and I think I'd have to wait awhile to find a buyer willing to pay anywhere near that.

At any rate, thread hijack over. Lets see some vids of this supercharged Z...

Rattle can be easily fixed prior to S/C.

Glad to hear it worked out well for you! It's a very simple process if you break it down. Have mercy on your soul if you break a VANOS bolt though. I broke one and it fell into my helix cup on the cam. What a nightmare that turned into.
