View Full Version : Palomar Mountain run, Sat. Feb. 25th

Gary (GSEN820) and I have been talking about running Palomar when I get home, this is an open invitation to all who wish to join with us (lurkers included). We are thinking the afternoon on the 25th as I will probably sleep off my jet lag and (more important) Gary has work until 1. We are trying to get Vince and some of the others from BMW of Vista as well as James (ZSP-Mafia) to join in with us... but more importantly Lawrence (Das Boots) might be bringing his gorgeous E30 M3 out! Please post if you are interested so we can set up a meeting place so we can roll out together. I will have my buddies GoPro so there will be a record of this run.


Just imagine, you can have a picture high up on South Grade like Albert had...

I could have swore that was Sunday. You just need to be back in the afternoon so you can join up with us

after talking to Albert I was thinking of possibly changing this to Sunday so more people can make it since right now it only looks like a few of us are going. Anybody else want in if we do it Sunday?

I ended up going on my own a little while after I posted that. I think I made it to the the Observatory by 7:30. This time zone change is starting to get annoying as it's only 6:14 and I've been up for more than an hour. I'll post some shots of my drive later once I clean them up, I need to go to work first

^Happiness is not around the corner, happiness IS if the corner? Even if it is just the photo software that made it look like a curve, still a :coolpic (make that singular until you get others posted).

Brett, that's the mountain in the background. South Grade is a TON of fun. At the far right is the turn to South Grade Road. This was taken around 8 when I made it to the bottom of the Mountain. I'll post a GoPro video later once I get it edited to my quality of product. I messed up and didn't record the drive up the mountain, next time...

The road in the pic is actually straight, I've been playing with a panorama program on my computer and I guess I'm just used to using it now for those really wide pics you can't otherwise get.
