Well merry effin xmas to me. Im in raleigh at my parents house, and my expansion tank decides to take a dump. I have been anticipating this, so i keep a new tank in my trunk. Excellent planning on my part.......But, now I am in Raleigh, NC with an old tank thats busted, new tank in hand, and no way to get my car off the ground and support it. Slight hole in my "excellent planning"......lol. Does anyone in raleigh or closeby have a jack and maybe a stand that I could borrow until monday? I dont really want to go buy another jack just to change this tank out! Oh, and merry xmas everyone!

I never had to get under the car to change mine? Hope you get things good as new soon David.

And I thought I was the only one that carried parts with me when I travel lol. I do leave the fan tool and wrench in the trunk though.

ok. update. exapnsion tank installed. Still have to top up the coolant, but drove it around and found no leaks. heat works. didnt overheat on short test drive. Thanks to all who offered help or advice. Merry xmas everyone!

whitexi, i did have to lift the car. One of the clips that holds the lower hose on the expansion tank i would not have been able to reach. Honestly, my car is so low that i have to lift it just to take the plastic mud shield!
