So, we all know Ryan's red e46, it's an a@ss-kicking red car with black stripes in the passenger side.
What do you guys think of stripes? I was thinking about something like Ryan's on my 02 TiAg...

I really like Ryans.
You should do like a dark gun metal on tiag or some kind of dark grey. I think that would be cool on a tiag

I like Ryan's stripes. Not sure on a Tiag (I've never seen it), but I think a gun metal or dark gray could look good.

I lovelike her stripes, and the best thing about them, if you haven't noticed, the roof is black so the stripes alternate to red.

I love hers due to the exterior modifications and the (as johnmadd said) switch in color on the roof
I remember asking her where i should start on my car back when i was active at BF.c
the black and tiag color combo is solid and will work, tough to find on e46, you may be one of the few :)
I would try to go with something abit more subtle IMO, like the flag on the hood idk

You all just put a huge smile on my face! Thanks for the kind words about my Lucy!
Although many say they like it here, not everyone likes them and the ones who don't seem to be pretty voicetress . So, be prepared for criticism.
There's was a guy on another forum with your ride who did stripes, Reekinghavoc702.

I definitely like the stripe. However, IMO, the car's other mods aren't aggressive enough to make the stripe cohesive. But, again, that's just personal opinion. As with all car modding, it's up to the car owner and they should do what makes them happy.
I will say, a gunmetal color on TiAg would look sick.

I wouldn't have run it over the bumper....maybe.

This is where I got my inspiration, the 135tii concept.

I think you're right, Dane. Not having the stripe go down the bumper would look better.
Dot, are you interested in a CF hood? An unpainted CF hood with TiAg stripes just on the hood might look badass. And then maybe CF vinyl stripes on the roof and trunk.

I agree with Ryan's comments. My hesitation on Tiag is that it's not an "aggressive" color per se, like red is. So, while I think it looks good, I think stripes have a certain aggressive feel to them so there s/b other things about the car that match it, such as color, other mods, wheels, lowered, or whatever, to have that overall aggressive feel to it.

Top of Hood, Roof and top of Trunk. No bumper.
Try it out in vinyl and see how well it works. No mess removal.

Agreed, I think wheels and lowered is a must if you do this.
I really am not a fan of graphics like that, but some how Ryan did it and it looks awesome. I think the overall way her car is set up is really what sets it off.

lot's of great input here, I like the Tii too, maybe a CF roof with gunmetal stripes, no bumpers. Photoshop is my friend.

I'm in for a sedan CF roof if you are, Eduardo. We need to get Dean back...he was experimenting with vacuum formed CF products. Haven't seen him post in almost 3 months!

I think I might do a black roof with the tiag. I couldn't pull off Ryan's ba stripes.

I spent some time in our carbon fiber lab last week. I wanted to see if it was more cost effective to turn out my own CF stuff. LOL at that, that stuff is intense!

It is a pretty long process. But you can't get a sedan roof OEM or aftermarket...so that is my goal in the long run.

Personally, I'm not one for stripes but looking at Ryan's Lucy....she pulled it off :thumbsup
Her car looks great with stripes :)
