That's a black Friday sale right there. Only 87k miles....car looks really good.

Hey...I'm not trying to be a spelling police guy....as its not allowed here....but in your ad over at 46, Lemfedor is mis-spelled. It's an ad, so you want it to be right.

If I didn't have essentially the same car as you I would be interested. Actually, if somebody wants the car but not the CSL trunk I'll trade you for my OEM trunk (already painted Imola so you don't have anything to worry about with that)

Some people may be afraid of the salvage title. That may be why interest is tepid.

Thanks for all replies but Im not buying of the idea that Salvage Title cars are worse than clean title.....
I've personally seen clean title cars that were damaged beyond repair..

All i have to say is that if someone is scared of salvage title car, come check the car out for yourself, how can u say a 05 bmw 330ci ZHP salvage
will be priced 40-60% from kbb.....parts alone will cost more than the car if to part it out....All im saying is If your afraid of salvage title cars then please
continue searching for a clean title car that will cost you way way more but in reality its the same looking vehicle and has all the same functions,etc....JUST CHEAPER if Not BETTER....
So please feel free to ask any question or if you even can come check the car out if your serious but if not...Have a Nice Day :)

Thanks For reading........ :)

Leo, I think it's all about perception. The salvage car may be just as good as the non salvage car. But I think the psychological thing comes into play.

Regardless, good luck with the sale.

Agree, I have no problem buying salvage title when the price is right but from my experience they are usually priced lower than clean title. It does tend to scare people away but I agree with Leo's comment about clean vs salvage when it comes to condition of the actual car

I'm sorry leo,

I didn't mean to upset you and if you want I will delete post #15,

Just understand what a "Salvage" title means the insurance company deemed the car "unfit" for driving and the cost to repair the vehicle exceeded 75% of the cars value.
I understand your side and with JP that some cars with clean titles are worse than some and in your case "Salvage titles" Yes parts and condition may exceed even OEM standards, but to the common buyer "Salvage" means not useable.

look:

again sorry, and I know you will sell your car

Its all good imola red zhp, i'm not upset, its not my first or last salvage title car buying or selling so i know people are afraid of them
Just the thing i don't get is that people bash on salvage title cars without even seeing it in person.....

I know alot of people had and have salvage title cars and no problems, mean while some people have lemon cars and CLEAN TITLE that has problems...its a win/win-lose/lose situation....

I'm not forcing anybody into anything....Just want to find a buyer that will respect this ZHP how i respected and cared for...Nothing less.... :)

Anybody?

Wat if I say its clean salvage title? Better? LOL
Well the car is clean but has a salvage title....

Another factor that plays in is the resell of a salvage titled car and getting it insured as well as registering it.

Well taliben if ur buying a car to resell then yea salvage title
Will be hard to sell...but not impossible ...the registration shouldn't
Have any trouble with salvage title...for insurance u have to shop around
Cause I know there's places give insurance coverages for salvage cars....

If you buy a new car and couple years later the resell value falls also so its not
Only salvage cars...but I know what you mean....
That's why I'm selling my car with a OBO on price...

No but what i'm saying is that a salvage car already has that drastic drop in value because it has been salvaged from a highly damaged state, and the drop in value is much greater than the normal depreciation of a car's value. People are very hesitant about buying the car because the car is not oem and has been rebuilt. Especially people in the mafia and bmw people in general who are very meticulous about their purchases. Also, people don't know anything about the shop that it got repairs at, so they can't really trust the validity of it, but and plus, theirs no guarantee of the car being reliable after it has been salvaged.

And most people who are looking for this sort of car won't want to deal with the hard to resell part

Like I've been saying and will be saying.....
PEOPLE come see the car for yourself, drive it,inspect it,do whatever...
BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND NOT ALL SALVAGE CARS ARE BAD!!!!
If a clean title 05 zhp with 87k 6sp cost 18-20k I've seen dealers want even more
Then how is it my salvage zhp that I have listed at 13k OBO is too much?
If u want cheaper ill take the extras out and u can have it for 11.5k...better?
Or still salvage title will be a factor? ...

I bought my ZHP as a salvage title (from a guy in Sacramento) and love it a lot! IIRC, the seller had some trouble selling it, as it took me almost two months from seeing the ad to finally buying it and I paid to have two separate PPIs done. Once both came back clean (except for common maintenance items) and the seller replaced the throw-out bearing and radiator, I bought it. (We split the cost of replacing the radiator.)

Didn't have any trouble getting it insured with CSAA (AAA for Nor Cal, Nevada, and maybe Utah). However, they said any collision/comprehensive claim payouts would be limited to 50% of book value. So I try not to crash it.

Leo, not sure how to do it but I would also list your sale on http://www.zhpregistry.com. Since we are a closed site and most of us already have a ZHP this might not be the best market for your car. Also, if you haven't done it yet please register your car on there so we have a better total idea of production numbers

Keep in mind, though, that when you do a search on Google of ZHP and BMW (common search terms), we'll be near the top of most search results. This means that a seller should be SURE to give people a way to contact them outside of this forum. We're a good venue to sell ZHPs. Just make sure you provide an email address so that non members have a way to reach you.
