Hello to all!
My names Shaun. I received an invite from my buddy Casey to join the site and just wanted to stop in and say hello to all you fellow fanatics. I'm inexperienced with photography and working on cars, but looking forward to learning lots from all the experienced ones here! :thumbsup

Thanks buddy! lol...long story short with the Frenched lamps, I bought the wrong paint, had corrective eye surgery while my dad and his mechanic friend worked on installing my angel eyes/painting high beams and corner lenses, and realized after I could see again that I bought gloss instead of Stained Glass and that's what they used. lol reading fail. But I love the way it turned out! :biggrin

haha, there's not much to my baby, but the Gold CSL rims (which I plan on respraying), LaminX on the Tail Lights and Fog Lights, HID 3k fogs, 3k Projector lights, 2.5K Highbeams, 3k-ish Angel Eyes (sometimes they look yellow, and other times they look white...lol), Matte black grills, Painted the Side trim all Matte black, Carbon fiber Roundels throughout, Painted the High Beam bowls yellow and the turn signal corners I painted black.

As for future mods, Unless I need new springs or a new brake setup, I'm not looking to install any other parts, as I'm actually looking to buy a 135i next year sometime. :)

haha...I would, but I'm actually respraying the rims for 2 reasons. 1st) The seller I bought the wheels from said they were painted with great quality, and under 6 months, the paint was/is chipping away. :( 2nd) I'm painting them a different style to move them over to the 1er when I buy it! although, if i change my mind, I will let you know. (18in...but not sure on offsets #s, just know that they are a staggered setup.)

...and as far as lighting goes, I'm running 2.5k PIAAs for my high beams (H7 bulbs i beleve) and running 3k Projector bulbs (D2s) which I purchased from bavtoys as well as my HID fog bulbs. Bought the HID kit for the fogs from a friend. (Ballasts and what not...bought the bulbs online.)

And that stinks about getting the wrong paint for the Highs :( IDK if you can repair it, but I think Krylon makes a silver chroming spray paint, so you can sand the bowl back to the plastic, spray the chrome, let dry and then spray with the stained glass paint.

Surprisingly, 3k in the low beams isn't that bad. I still see at the normal depth of my OEM 6ks and I see better now in foggy weather and for my long trips to Atlanta and back to Augusta, they capture deer's eyes' better. But, when I buy a 135i, I will do the 5k set-up as I have more planed for that. ;):shift

...yeah, for the high beams, I'm sure I could use a paint thinner or something if I wanted to go back and redo with stained glass paint. :fingerscrossed

lol, since there is about 3 coats of paint and I don't have that much time atm, I plan on getting it done professionally. haha...plus I've never resprayed rims, so my technique probably wouldn't be a good one ;) :rofl
