Yeah....just less risk. That oiled filter was pretty crapped up...right where the air enter the airbox.

Smart Choice Dane, AEM dry flow on mine with Racing Dynamics Heat Shield has lasted almost 70k miles now with no codes or maf failures....and yes I am creeping up on 100k miles now thanks to work :(

Dane, how many miles were on your oiled filter before it looked like that? Had you ever re-oiled it?

I have re-oiled it. Lemme pop over to the maintenance section and look. It was not due, by the mileage I was going on.

was looking around at schieße on the google machine when i found this... kinda looks like an air filter condom to me. $25 at TMS for your CAI. its called the AFE pre-Filter

Charlie has this on his air filter, only his is blue. I think it's a great way to get a majority of the crap off.
