Hello everyone

This problem comes back every once in a while but recently it has been pretty bad
when making small revs when preparing to get into 1st gear with my foot is on the clutch (all the way depressed), the car will feel as if it were losing engine power on the way down (rev) and and i rev the engine a bit harder to prevent shutting off, today i gave it a small rev at stand still and it shut off on me

I have been searching google and have heard
the battery
alternator
but these problems were shutting off without warning or when the car is moving (many had Auto tranny, mine is MT)

what does this sound like to you guys? electrical? Mechanical?

sorry 86k miles and i have not cleaned the ICV or inspect the disa (DISA only comes on 4 pots, it's the equivalent of vanos on 6I's but works in a different way. It's purpose is to raise the low and midrange torque "and" raise the top end power output.) correct
