Hello! Thanks to Marky for spotting my comment on Facebook. I'm Dave, a new ZHP owner from Edmonton. I acquired my 2005 330Ci ZHP just a few days before Halloween from who I can only describe the ideal owner. He's basically a car fanatic, and he's financially very well-off. As I walked in to his pristine front 4-car garage and saw the Audi Q5, Benz 500SL, Porsche Boxter and... a Smart Car (?!), I knew this was someone who took care of his cars.

My new ZHP is Sapphire black metallic with all-black interior and leather seats. 72000km on it (~45000miles). The original owner took it in for service if there was even so much as a rattle he didn't like. No modifications at all. He asked me to take good care of it! I said I'll probably drive it a bit harder than it had been before but I'll treat it like the fully-engineered machine that it is :biggrin

Previous car was a 2003 Mini Cooper S, which I drove for 5 years. Thanks to accurate car simulators on the PC (Live for Speed, Richard Burns Rally... hey stop laughing, I'm being serious here!) I was able to push the car farther than I expected to be able to. Now with some naturally aspirated rear wheel drive road-hugging finesse at my fingertips, I intend to step up my driving skills a little.

On DIY standpoint, I hope I never have to do any work on this car for a long, long time. But when I opened the hood and saw the oil filter right there, front and center, I knew this was a car that was designed with mechanics in mind. Anyways it's comforting to know that I have this much experience around that I can draw on if I run into problems!

Cheers,
--Dave

Wow...what a nice car! What's the paint code on this? I didn't know that color existed on e46s!

I'm pretty sure it's one of those BMW Individual colors, not a regular choice

Register your ride my friend. They would need to add that color to the database...

Dave, this is the special non special we're talking about. Except none of the ZHPs are special around here.

Thanks everyone! I probably won't have any more pictures until next spring. The previous owner had one of those long-lasting protective coatings applied to the car several years ago. He also took it to car washes frequently (definitely not all touchless!).

This is good for protection, but I need to spend about a day with a buffer to get the clearcoat looking... well, clear again. And since it's nearly winter I think I'll just hold off for now.
