Brakes Lets hear your suggestions

Hey guys I am planning on doing brakes before winter hits and I need some suggestions as to what to go with. I would really like to keep performance at stock level, while reducing the amount of brake dust accumulated on the rims. Also going into into the holiday season I would like to try to keep cost down if at all possible. Lets hear what ya got.

Hawk Performance Ceramics have treated me very well. Only have to clean wheels maybe once a week to prevent a "slight" layer of dust from forming.
That slight layer I'm talking about is the layer you get an hour's worth of driving after you wash your wheels with OEM pads equipped.

Nope. Not on the street at least.
On the track, ceramics won't last. Heat is its worst enemy, and fade is evident when pushed past "hot summer day" track temperatures.

On the street, I couldn't get it to fade. Bite was excellent, stopping power was all there just like any Hawk products I've used, and noise was nonexistant.

the dust doesn't bother me so much, 135s are hot no matter what imo. poor man's powdercoat lol.

i am looking to do the slotted rotors when time comes to do the brakes tho.

I'm big on Cool Carbon pads. My stock Brembos make a lot of dust up front to the point that I was washing my wheels 3x a week. They stopped the need for that and also helped improve the braking pretty significantly over stock. Are they track pads, no but about as good of performance as one can expect otherwise.

Hit up Ray, Smilez on this site. He can give you options on rotors - OEM, slotted, slotted & drilled - as well as get you whatever pads you want and the sensors and fluid too. I've bought a couple sets from him and all was great, and the price was a steal.

I just put on Akebono pads and ATE PremiumOnes. So far so good... does not have oem bite but no squealing.

I have OEM fronts. Can't remember what pads are on the rears but they are ceramic. Very low dust and seem to be same as OEM

EDIT: rears are Textar ceramic fusion pads. Black Forest put them on for me a while ago when I had my car there

I've been using the Performance Friction Z-Rated for a few years. I really like them. Good bite, low dust and they actually do well on track too.

This is what I thought so to after going to zimmerman and brembo cross drilled rotors with OEM pads after the OEM setup was done. Then I switched to slotted rotors and Stoptech street performance pads.....I have much longer time to brake fade with repeated aggressive slow downs, significantly less dust, no squeaking, none of that "no brakes for 1/2 second on highway in heavy downpour" crap, and very close to OEM initial bite!

Pads and rotors were from TireRack. Bits and pieces (sensors, rotor bolts, etc.) from Pelican Parts. I supplied the labour, took my time to wire brush corrosion and lubricate moving parts.
