Anyone know where to find an exact fit o ring for the coolant temp sensor (13-62-1-433-077) i hate to spend $20 for a $.10 part.

looking at local parts stores, i dont see anything even near it in thickness.

I think Nathan Carter, a well known member at bf.c, has said you can find a similar o-ring at Lowes in the plumbing area. I think it was even the same color, just bring your old one for comparison if you can, and it's less than a buck there.

Could be overkill, try at smallparts (http://www.smallparts.com/s/16413611/ref=sp_s_sg_16413611?prevKeywords=o-ring) too.

PM me your address. I have a box of them....or....I can take a pick of the box, and you can get them at Lowes. Up to you...they work perfect.

According to this thread, BMW does sell one. It's listed for an air temp sensor but supposedly it's the same size.

You could check at Napa or another parts store. They usually have an assortment of o rings on hand.

Your generosity never ceases to amaze me Dane. Even though in this case it is just an o-ring, but I know you've done this with much bigger items, hell even for me :)

Completely awesome! Saves me the hassle of hunting them down :-) I'll throw any extra back for later down the line when it decides to go again.

I have 2 washers for the vanos lines and ahem....if you ever (holding face in hands) overtorque (damn hanes book said 18 ft lb)those bolts that screw into the block to hold down the VCG cover...well...i have like 6 of them (i bought the entire stock after breaking 1 just in case)

Are those oil filters? I'd love to have a draw of just filters.

Yeah....I stock up....hehe....got about 40 qts of M1 as well....

That drawer is where I keep new spare parts....hence that's the drawer the o-rings came out of. Wasn't intending to be boastful.....I just left the drawer open.

i'm almost scared to ask for more photos of your 'shop' and extra parts bins/tools....

I'm going to be shocked if you don't have a lift in there.

I want pics when you do get the lift :-) i'd like to get something that would fit in the standard height home garage, is extremely safe (i.e well built) and allows me to still park in the garage. oh and not cost $10k

They're more like $5k I think. We have a thread on lifts as well.

Got the 2 o-rings last night. I'll swap it this weekend when I have time. I did the unthinkable...took to orings for the inner diameter and put them on, then a third that fit the new inner diameter. That sealed me as a temp fix. But then I've been thinking......what if when i pull it out that third ring falls out into the pipe....ARRRGGG.
So.....leaving it alone until I have time to actually pull the hose IF that happens....I'm sure it won't, but....there is a chance. Thanks a million for getting me those 2 I really appreciate it!

Btw...no return address..You in the mafia or something? lol ;-)
