Does anyone else have extreme difficulty getting these to go in?
I just broke ANOTHER lens trying to get it in. I know how they come out.. so i've been putting it back in reverse order. At like $4 a pop.. this routine is getting old.

Do it while the trunk is open...I believe the solution will become apparent.

Hmm...well Idk what to tell you. Maybe use less force? They should just pop in with minimal effort.

Have one of the techs at your dealership show you an easy way to do it. They probably know all of the tricks.

I'm sure the lens and the part it goes in to looks the same as any other e46

That's what I'm going to do. I broke one of the clips on one..and tore off the insulation on another thinking that it was the problem. So right after I order two more..

I can't say I've ever had this problem. Don't mean to sound condescending, but are you sure you're putting them in the right way? I know the way they go in isn't always what you'd guess it is. I think, correct me if I'm wrong someone, but I think the tall side faces you? Does that make sense?

Haha yes ryan, I am putting them in right. I took the passenger side out to see how they went in..and then I got the passenger side back in a couple of times.. but I ended up taking it out trying to see if it would fit in the drivers side one (it didnt)

He was just throwing out ideas. That comment seems a little harsh. Maybe I'm reading that wrong.

Comment wasn't really warranted. I don't want to make a big deal out of it....but...If I was working with a "press in" plastic piece.....that was giving me an issue.....I may sparingly lube the contact points.....especially if I was running out of options. I think that's what he meant.
Let's move on.

lol no I wasn't aiming that towards anyone. I meant that my situation is dumb.. meaning that I can't get two little stupid plastic lenses to fit back in to where they came from
