I dunno if this is natural for these lenses. It feels and looks like sprayed paint spreckles. But on the other hand, they could also be like sand blasted. Are the lenses replaceable or if not, has anybody done any glass polishing? I rather not replace them with Depo foggies due to reliability issues....

Lenses are not sold separately. What side do you need?

Johnmadd picked one up from me and did a DIY on it (not posted though). I have a couple of lenses here I believe.

They are "glued"....so John will have to chime in with how easy replacement is.

You simply use a sharp knife/razor and take the old adhesive off , it is very tedious. Use a quick drying sealant and put the cover on it and your good to go, don't be afraid to be aggressive with the sealant.

And...put them on right side up.

...or you could just replace the sandblasted fog lights with the M3 fogs in less than 5 minutes.

Yup.....I got the ///M3 fogs off of Amazon.....of course....using the affiliate link.

Dane...could you show a pic of the M3 fogs? What do you mean by 'affiliated link'?

danewilson77
10-11-2011, 08:47 AM
///M3 fogs look just like your fogs....except the edges of the glass are not beveled, and the glass is clear and is smooth.

Affiliated link means I used the Amazon link here, at the Mafia, to make my purchase...

There is a list of affiliates here: http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?229-List-of-Affiliate-Advertisers-at-ZHP-Mafia

Use those links. Shop. ZHPMafia.com gets a commission. Simple as that.

This should help.....

I put Lamin-X on just about 2 days after install, so the glass should still look that good....in theory.

If you decide to buy a whole new assembly I'll split it with you, I just need the reflector for the right one, I'm sure your original one is still in good shape. I'm having a hard time finding one on a parts car anywhere

Dane...I noticed on all of the threads that opens up...that the Depo foggies have plastic adjust. Are they functional? If they are, how were you able to adjust to make them pointed the right way as compared with the stock, I did not notice that they are adjustable....BTW, thats how my foggies look like...paint sprayed or sand blasted.

No...the Depos are fully functional. Good looking product.

Hey guys I have a bulb out in one of my Fog Lights and would like to get replacements that match the Xenon Headlights. What color is the closet to those?
Check these out..

No worries. What do you mean by reflector base? I'm assuming you still have your stock halogen bulb in your OEM housing. This is just a direct swap (9006 bulb for 9006 bulb) for different color. Nothing else is needed

WOLFN8TR

Yes I still have the stock bulbs, stock housing. I did a search on replacement bulbs for these lights and some guys were recommending a reflector type fog light to run these bulbs. I might go with the Khoalty HID upgrade kit they offer later on but for now these should work. Can't beat the price.

Yeah, price is great. If you do go HID please make sure to get a projector fog housing

Just for reference, I have HID fogs and light output is fine with the stock, non projector housing.

Installed the Crystal Vision Ultras in my fogs, they are pretty close but still kinda look yellowish compared to the Xenon's. Good enough for $20 thou.

Just a note, do not buy the replica M3 fogs off of eBay. They have a noticeably dimmer output than the OEM fog lights and condensation collects inside of them. I bought them for around $65 a couple years back. The DEPOs look much better built in this case, so I bet they're much better than what I bought if not OEM quality.
