This sign was at the end of the property of BMW Atlantic City immediately before you step onto the Acura dealership that shares the same parking lot/sidewalk.

I love that ad campaign. Even though I am a huge fan of Audi's, I own a BMW so I still pull for this team :biggrin

Haha pure genius!
This is one of my favorites, and the car in the picture could be a ZHP, it shure looks like Imola Red.

That car looks to be a European model. So, probably not a ZHP. And that's more likely electric red, which was not offered on ZHPs.
Just a guess, though.

So the ZHP was never offered in Europe?
Marcus-SanDiego
12-18-2010, 05:40 PM
That's correct. The ZHP was a US-only option.
The M Clubsport, meanwhile, was available outside of the U.S. But it did not have the upgraded cams. One thing that the M Clubsport did get, that I suspect a lot of US buyers would have wanted, is the splitters that go on the M-tech II front bumper.

So the things at the bottom of our front bumper aren't splitters? Or are they not considered splitters cause they aren't separate.
Marcus-SanDiego
12-18-2010, 06:07 PM
That's right. Ours are not considered splitters. Someone will correct me if I am incorrect, but a splitter should be a stand-alone add on.

The ZHP was US only. Sports Package vehicles in Europe though have the Mtech II Aero kit and various other similar things ZHPs have. That's how it is in Greece at least
They look incredible but are 318s lol
The car in the add above looks to be a 325ci in Electric Red with style 68s...The bumper definetly looks like an early Coupe' front bumper

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but to add real splitters to our cars, one would have to replace the front bumper with one that accepts splitters?
You guys are good, I knew it wasn't a ZHP and I got the response I was looking for. It still is a cool pick though.

I like the carbon fiber splitters for our cars. Not over the top. But good enough to get noticed.

Who sells them just in case I decide to jump off the deep end...
Marcus-SanDiego

Not sure who sells them, lance.

I did some searches and it I found no one reputable. Just people claiming the fitment would work and the prices ranged from $150 to $400. Smacks of ebay headers. I will hold off.

Let's ask Khoa. He may know where to get them, lance.

Khoalty has these, but I'm not sure if they will work for us (I say "us" because i'm pretty close to pulling the hook on the cf theme myself).

Two different splitters...two different looks....no bumper replacement...it is just added onto of the bottom of the bumper with betaglue or screws.
Marcus-SanDiego
12-19-2010, 09:15 AM
So both splitters, from both places, work on our cars. Good to know.

Here is the Tischer writeup...
"OEM BMW E46 Mtech II Carbon Fiber Front Splitter Kit. Kit includes left and right front carbon fiber splitter and pre-punched adhesive blanks. BMW recommends Betalink adhesive (83190413384) and adhesive gun (83190406983) for installation. We used betalink kit 82699408866 ) with great results."
Regular price $607.99...hehe

I would definitely pay $55 for them knowing that if I didn't like it I would only be out $55... Plus I could pass them onto someone else and recoup most if not all of my investment...
