Is Tokina "good glass"?

Dane, it depends on the lens and how you intend to use it. The simple answer would be to say no, but myself and others have had success with Tokina 12-24 f/4. Your question is tough to answer because you aren't giving us enough information to point you in the right direction. If you are shooting with Canon, L glass is superior, if you are shooting with Nikon, Nikkor glass is typically superior to aftermarket.
