And my 18 yo who previously hadn't blinked an eye at the thought of a "performance" car and said this one was "too fast" and thought he might get a ticket came in last night at 11 and told me "I really like that car, it's pretty nice..." Hmm might be some competition with his little sis now.

Okay so now I'm confused - is there 2 different styles of 'tri-stitch' ? I'm pretty familiar, or so I thought, w/ the different wrap colors, stitches, etc.

At some point the official color changed from purple to navy. Not sure when not sure why.

Do you know what Mike (Coby Wheel) is using for his tri-stitch right now? I suppose it's not really noticeable, purple vs. navy, unless you really eyeball it...

Yeah, he gives you a choice of color when ordering. Violet or Navy. I believe navy is the closer match to BMW motorsports colors.

Now that I look at my OEM wheel in the daylight, the stitching looks more navy than purple. In looking online at the BMW motorsport colors, the darkest of the 3 colors looks more blue than purple to me.

The official ///M colors changed, so technically, depending on year, the purple or the navy can be correct. I chose the navy for mine as well, as I wanted it to match my wheels, steering wheel, and all the other M stripe appliqués on my car... :)

When I ordered mine, Mike told me the purple is more visible, and the blue is not as visible against the black. That swayed my choice.

It could be pink and still be badass.

It looks/sounds like FedEx has lost my new Coby wheel, at least at the moment :guns

So disappointing. It arrived at a FedEx facility in GA where Mike lives on 12/4 but there's been no scans since then. I called FedEx and they put a trace on it.

Despite no scans, their website still indicated it would be delivered today. Since it requires a signature I worked from home, but the FedEx truck just rolled through the neighborhood w/o stopping at my house.

Does anybody have a similar experience w/ FedEx? Was your package located?

typically the tracking from coast to coast does not update until it hits the hub on that side of the coast (box is on a loaded truck) so does not get scanned in the "long Haul process" but it should have shown where it hit the main hub in Ga before heading out west i called fedex and they did not sound too confident (i have shipped a ton of wheels thru them) and they have never lost one (but you might be the 1st) they said at roughly 10 days after scan( like Mon-Tues of next week) if it does not show up in the system they "start" to consider it lost and would call you(to start claim) i looked thru my photos and it looks like you sent a 6 speed wheel without trim etc. and had it done in oem grey tri-color navy center stitch/ let me know if correct and what i will do is wrap one of my cores in that color combo and have it ready to ship the day that fedex confirms it is lost(claims process) but hopeful it will pop up into their system b4 then but at that point what i will do is ship the wheel next day air so you do not have to wait any longer (and i would be the one to deal with claims anyway) because i shipped the package
