Here is on for ya. Which part/piece in the attached picture did not come from the factory? And where did I find it? Good luck. It took me two weeks to find it. 1988

Oh goody. That looks like an I Spy theme. I have to warn you though, I've been playing these with my daughter for while, so I am good at this.

The swimming goggles were made in Korea.

Good idea for your socket to do wheels. Is the answer the corroded screw/bolt?

Not working on them, but they were in the way and had to be removed.

:confused

3M painter's tape is much cheaper that those $30 non marring wheel sockets. No on the corroded bolt.

Hint, I just enjoyed a rattle free ride in my ZHP. (again it's not the rattle clip.)
I'll entertain a few more guesses before spilling the beans. I know the picture is not the sharpest, but that would take some of the sport out of it.

I have no idea what you're talking about. You have 1 million things in this picture. Narrow it down.

Hornung418 found it. Last week, once it cooled down enough to roll the windows down, I could hear this loud rattle from the right front. At first, the tone made me think the brake shield was loose or vibrating, but it was louder and more annoying than when my E36 had a loose shield. Pulled the wheel off and it the shield was tight. Banging around with a mallet found nothing loose. Later in the week, I tried again, but this time tried tapping the exhaust and exhaust heat shields. Nothing. Tried the under body metal and plastic shields without luck. I am about to go crazy as my car sounds like a beat to hell Ford on the bumpy streets here. Stupid car.

After beating on the brake shield a little harder, I could hear something bouncing around. Off came the caliper and rotor and the three screws holding the shield on. By moving it around, I could see the rock. I had to remove the wheel speed sensor and try several different pairs of pliers, hemostats, and other tools to fish it out of the bowl through the speed sensor hole. All that noise and work for a rock. And I thought that the shield was there to keep debris out, not in. A quick drive around the neighborhood to check the noise and brakes. All is well. I LOVE this car again, until the next issue....

Yeah, usually when I can't figure something out, I resort to beating on things and yelling out expletives. :mad Sometimes draws a few looks from the neighbors.

Closer to 45.

And that would have taken all of the fun out of it...

I thought that was an olive pit! Was more fun to talk about the swimming goggles though!
