What are thoughts on purchasing a High mileage ZHP? (Dealer)
Reliability?
Longevity? (200k+)

DaneWilson77 should be able to help you with this. I think his ZHP is at 130k or so. He'll probably see this thread soon.

PPI - Only a manual

Change all fluids as soon as you get it > Tranny, diff, crankcase > $100

Replace suspension > including FSM, RSM, endlinks, tierods, CAB's, and control arms > $1500

Replace brakes > rotors, pads, and fluid > $350

Replace pulleys and belts > AC and Water pump tensioner, as well as deflection pulley > $120

Perform TB PS fluid swap > Mobil I ATF > $10

This will get you >200k...if car inspects sat at 100k miles.

***What I'm saying here...is if you can do this over the 100k-130k mileage period...you will get significant use outta the car.

You can do vanos whenever you want > $120.00

I like it...but I will do a lot of the work myself. It's good some of the stuff I mentioned has already been done. I would find out when he put the Racelands on it? Ask him when was the last time he swapped out fluids and with what...i.e. ask him for his maintenance records.

Mileage doesn't scare me with these cars. What scares me is how they were treated and maintained. Find a car with good bones, and it will treat you well.

I'd say.. at 130k, most things are done by then. Usually Inspection II is around 100k.. So I'd (hope) most things are done and ready for another 100k
