Like the title says, my SES light popped on this morning. Can I get the codes without a reader? It doesn't seem to be running poorly, but that doesn't mean anything. Some assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kyle

Yep, you'll need a reader.
I'm guessing there's not an Autozone within an hour of Corolla-- can get them read for free there.

Pretty sure AutoZone doesn't do that anymore unfortunately.

Advanced auto or autozone will read the codes.

I'll call in a favor with someone I know that has one. I'm thinking it's an O2 sensor.
Thanks for the feedback, guys.

I heard pep boys will read codes as well, unconfirmed though, only heard from word of mouth. Depending on miles on the car, code might indicate O2 sensors but might be air leak. Just saying.

I'm not dismissing any possibilities. I've got 140k on it and I have no idea if the PO had them changed. I'll get the codes read tomorrow.
