Anyone here running M offsets?

Generally; How much fender modding is involved to make this happen with a lowered car? Pulling + Rolling + shaving + tire stretch + camber? I know people have shaved off a few mm's off the back of their wheels to make things fit...

I know its possible...

I'm looking at these sort of offsets:
19x8.5'' ET32 front
19x10'' ET25 rear

I think a good guy for you to maybe PM is Ernie (aka Bimmerlifestyle @ Bf.c). He has a pretty aggresive setup.

Damn, I love his car....

I believe Ernie not only rolled his fenders, but also pulled them.

That's going to be insanely difficult. You might as well get some flares welded on.

Use this calculator to help you understand where it will end up...

Use it to compare what you have now...to where it would end up.

Thanks guys~!

The more research I do; the more confused I get.
I talked to one guy with similar offsets I'm looking at and he shaved 6mm off the wheel after talking to the manufacturer and confirming the safe limit. Others have shaved fenders, pulled fenders, stretched tires, extreme cambers... etc etc...

I may rethink my wheel choice...

WTF is a shaved wheel? Your joking, right?

You can often trim a few mm off the hub of the wheel with no problems.

Mmm...that scares the crap outta me. Why not just buy the right rim? Damn...IDK about that....I spose it would work though...

The guy I've been talking to about this shaved off the hub at a machine shop.
It was to his BBS Lm's (M fitment)... the owner contacted BBS and asked what the safe limit was to shave off... they said "6mm".

Damn....great info there. I can't believe BBS would come out and say that from a liability standpoint.

It must have been something they knew for a fact, otherwise they wouldn't have said it. I'm sure 6mm isn't a big deal for the integrity of the wheel...

Heck...thats like 1/4"!!!

IDK.....guess if they said so....

Also keep in mind, BBS makes high quality wheels, not cheap rubbish. A cheap wheel probably would've been compromised by that much shaving, but a high strength, high quality wheel like a BBS probably won't be affected enough.

It may have 6mm on that particular wheel but it may be only 2mm on another wheel. All depends on material, wheel design, original offset, etc.

Ernie, what is that - a 10" ET25 or ET30?

What size tires are you running?

How about a 9.5 et35 rear with 265 tires?? I was told they would fit with rolled fenders, any thoughts?? This is on stock height but would like to go a tad lower with coilovers next year.

You'd need less fender work with a 255

Yes but the sex appeal of a 265 is haunting me!!! :)

If all you care about is wide tires then you can fit 265's on 18x8.5 (stock rear ZHP). I ran those and they looked nice and squared off and meaty. The grip was amazing! I want to put 265's on my 19x9.5 but then I'll have to retain ET45. It's a tossup....265 and safe offset or 255 and aggressive offset.
