Ryan, really appreciate it.

With just one year under my belt as a photographer, there is a lot more to learn. I'm a much better writer at this point, making it a career and profession for 15 years. Check back in with me in another 14 years to see how the photography is going.

In the meantime, I will try to inspire. It's a goal for sure.

You've only been shooting for a year??! Wow, that's impressive, Mark. Your work is amazing! :applause

Knowing your childhood story and how you made a career of reading and writing, I have no doubt that you could probably master anything you put your mind to. I believe in 15 years you and Casey may not even remember us little people. :biggrin

So when did you guys jump out of the Balloon?? Nice shot of the development, Mark.

This post brought to you by Uncle Clark's Anti-gravity Cream. Put some on your Super Collider just before the Big Bang.

We jumped out at the very end of the ride, Horny. :biggrin

Haha, that's funny, Ryan.

Shaun, I picked up a camera for the first time on August 23, 2011. So, it's been 13 months and change.

I must say that I am really looking forward to 2013. 2012 was a fun year.

Sadly, we are -- at the moment -- handcuffed from posting any more of our Kauai shots. From our Facebook fan page:

While we would love to share more Kauai photos with our fan base, we are currently unable to release any additional images at this time.

We are negotiating a potential deal that requires us to discontinue any further distribution for the time being.

Thanks for understanding. We look forward to either releasing the photos to the fan page soon or to making an announcement regarding our plans for the images.

OMG, love that plane. Great shots Charlie. Here's a tidbit for you. My dad (USAF) ran USAF Systems Command (basically acquisitions) at that time, and he was essentially responsible for acquiring the B2 for the Air Force. When it was "released" to the public, they interviewed him on "The Today Show".

OK, here's part of the video of my dad the morning of the B2 launch. This is from an old VHS video, recorded onto the computer, then converted, so it's not good quality. Also, the recording s/w isn't working right so it has a company title as a watermark, plus it cuts off at the end, but you get the gist. First up is a CBS morning show and I don't even know who that anchor is, then the Today Show, with Deborah Norville sitting in that day for Bryant Gumbel (at the 3:36 mark). It's funny hearing all the references to the Soviet Union and "deterrent", memorandums from the Cold War.

On the flip side of hot Florida...I'm in Edmonton visiting my sister....and this is what I get to see every day!

Like it, but I would say remember the rulke of thirds. Also...whe you post a pic using an file, it is not necessary to use the drop down pic feature. Just copy and paste the [IMG] file right into the post. Otherwise you end up with stray [IMG]'s all over the place. I fixed em for ya.

Less than 3 weeks till 1st weekend of Cactus League games.. here's a few shots from when my Giants were in town last September, on their way to their 2nd World Series crown in 3 years. The weather was reasonably cool for a September evening, so they opened the roof at Chase Field in the middle of the game, something I've never seen done before. It's always either open from the get-go, or stays shut. This was pretty cool, especially from where we were sitting up in the cheaps. When the roof opens, huge "doors' also open on either side of the scoreboard, really opening the joint up and making it seem less like an indoor venue with the sunroof open...

Looks like a challenging climb to the top of the falls.

One of my favorite adventures was the climb to the top of a waterfall with gallons of water pounding into my face and my fingers gripping for any hold. View from the top was magnificent.

I always wear a rafting helmet when I'm climbing in the water. Ropes are too cumbersome. Fun stuff though...I like a challenge, but I won't keep climbing if I have an out and know I cant make it up all the way. Fear not, Ry.

The outdoors around here is perfect!

Finger cracks are another fun one. Really feels good to climb a vert face with no holds only cracks big enough for two knuckle jams.

Justin, The falls is on privet property and people are allowed but need to follow the rules but, just to make sure The Lady of the Falls is always watching.

Because Zimbabwe had currency collapse they unofficially use the USD as the one and only currency because of it's stability. Problem is they don't get new bills since it's not officially printed for them. So the bills stay in circulation forever. I got a $2 bill that I had to use asap because it would never been accepted here...LOL.

Our money vs their money:

Very pretty! This reminded me to post my waterfall pics.

So, I'm not photog by any means, but Kyle is really into it and he recently got a Cannon 7D. He gave his old Cannon Rebel to April. So far this year we've been on a few hikes, they've had their cameras and I'm just standing around waiting. I talked with my grandfather (who is an amateur photog, but has $$$ of equipment) and he allowed me to borrow one of his old, old, back up cameras, a Nikon D200.

We've been on 2 hikes since I've had the Nikon. It's got a crazy amount of settings and I'm refusing to use "P" mode. So, to say the least, most of my pictures suck. lol But here's two from our most recent hike, that I feel are ok.

Critiques, suggestions encouraged.

Btw, these are saved on medium quality and hosted by free photobucket.

Yeah....It was hard to get a really impact point other than being in the air because of the mist. It's hard to believe but the falls fall over 400 feet for over 1 mile in width. The time I was going the mist was flying up from the top at just over 400feet high. In high season the water flowing over the falls is so heavy that the mist is shot up just short of 1 mile into the air. Everything gets WET. I took this picture as the wind cleared the way...I had a giant freezer bag to protect my camera from the water.

The challenge to get that perfect shot, I think that's why we all got into photography. My shot was taken from this cave and the second shot is of the side of the cliff / hill that the cave is on. And yes the challenge to get to that spot was well worth it.
