2011 Wheels & Wings Show Osceola WI Sept. 10th 7AM

This is always a great show to see a large variety of cars. If you're just into BMW's or Euro cars, this probably isn't the show for you. If you can appreciate all kinds of interesting cars (and airplanes), this is a show to be at.

Typically, over 1,000 cars show up. It's a big event.

Looks like they've changed the venue this year to have the car show up at the airport.

68th Ave.
Osceola, WI

It's about an hour's drive from the Minneapolis metro area. Easiest way is I-35 North to Hwy 97 East in Forest Lake to Hwy 95 North along the St. Croix and finally, 243 will take you across the river in Osceola. At the stop sign in Osceola, go right. The airport is at the top of the hill on the left.

Yeah, I feel fortunate that the metro area has such a strong petro-culture. Come visit anytime!

Though I'd advise against visiting in the winter unless you like skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, etc.

We even have ice-racing on frozen lakes in the winter :)

I like none of those things...I do however enjoy the cold...just not winter weather activities. Fishing maybe...

I wouldn't mind seeing Ice racing. That sounds like a blast!

A little smaller turnout this year but still had almost 900 entrants in the car show.

Yeah, there's a whole ice racing series up here in the winter on several different tracks. Matt probably has something similar by him.

Snowmobile racing is another fun thing in the winter. Drags and snow-cross.
