Great deal! I ended up buying their 3ton jack a couple months ago...for $59. I'm pretty sure the checkout girl was hitting on me and offered to pricematch it down to $59 from the sale price of $99...really for no apparent reason. She even had her manager come over, scanned his ID for the price change and then distracted him by sending him on an errand while she finished the transaction. It works great!

Sorry about that. I was doing this at work from my iPhone and couldn't find that section.

Thanks for the feedback! I need a lower profile jack and didn't know if these were any good. I'm gonna get one or two of them.

It should be ok unless you try to lift the whole car at the once. Our cars weigh approx 4,500 lbs.

I ordered one of these ECS jack pad adapters. (http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/ECS10721/ES251251/)

I think you meant 3500 lbs? Does the handle on these lay flat enough to reach the rear diff crossmember? I returned a Craftsman last year because it wouldn't lay flat enough and still be able to pump up when going in from behind the car. I have an OLD Craftsman that works great but it is at least 25 years old and it can't last forever.

I was thinking of getting this one for the extra 4 inches of max lift height.

Yeah. This is low profile. Im lowered a little, and it reached rear diff brace for rear lifting.

The GVWR is 4420 lbs. I was looking at the same jack, extra lift height would be nice.

GVWR is max capacity....4 persons + luggage. I checked my jackstands and they are 15" minimum and I like them set a couple inches higher than that to be able to move around underneath easier so that 2 ton jack would be the one I would need for sure. My old Craftsman goes to 19", the same as that HF one.

1.5 ton is more than enough, unless you're lifting the entire car with it. But, you shouldn't be lifting an entire car with just one jack, so that is a moot point.

GVWR is not the vehicle weight, but as someone else already stated, the max load. My car was weighed in at 3310lbs with half a tank of fuel and no spare or anything else in the car. A convertible will weight more, and so will xi models. ZHPs in general weigh more than their standard non-ZHP counterparts. You can expect a sedan to weigh no more than 3350lbs.

I've been using one of these for years. It's held up very well to many autocrosses and track events. It might be time to upgrade to a new one.

I've been seeing 59.99 coupons for this jack for at least a year but at least with this deal, you don't need the coupon.

Just a friendly warning, be careful with these jacks. I've had one break at the track, car was on a level surface but the jack twisted and snapped one of its mounts. This was years ago so they might have changed/updated the design.

I've seen others fail at the track too, I remember one where the jacking pad itself snapped in half. Issue with the fingers carrying all the weight and not the pad it self. This also could have been changed or updated.

How's the jack working for you? Does the handle lay flat enough to get to the diff and jack it up? I see they have them marked down to $129.99 now with a coupon code. If I didn't have two insurance bills staring at me I would have already ordered one for $159.99. But for $129.99 it's pretty tempting.

I used the 1.5 ton perfectly....without the handle to jack up the rear with diff bracket. I did not use oem handle though, and had to go with long screwdriver mod.

Thanks Dane. Not sure if I want to have to mess with that every time. Gonna have to give it some more thought now. Is that with your car lowered though? David said his fit ok and he didn't mention anything about having to use a screwdriver to get things started. Maybe just the amount of lower?

If anyone else is interested and didn't get the e mail, the coupon code is.... 74709241

Thanks again......Barry

I haven't used it yet, unfortunately I've been preoccupied trying to get the scratches out of my hood from someone laying something up there while my car was parked at work. I can't believe these went on sale for $30 less just a few days after I got mine!! I sent Harbor Freight an email about it. We will see if they give me the difference back or not.

I kinda figured you wouldn't be too happy about the price drop, I know I wouldn't be!

I saw your post about the scratches...sucks big time. I stress so much whenever I have to park in a lot somewhere. Last time I stayed in a motel I was out in the lot at midnight moving my car to a better (corner) spot.

If you get a minute, if you can just see if it will pump up with the handle near horizontal I'd really appreciate it.

Just took this pic to show what I'm talking about.....not much room to work with but my old Craftsman will still pump from this angle.

Thanks.....Barry

Good to hear. Maybe they'll go down to $100 next sale.:biggrin

I talked to a guy today that does hydraulic repair and asked him if I wasted my money buying a HF jack. He said unless you spend big bucks for a name brand one they are all about the same. If you look at the customer reviews for some of Sears jacks they get alot of bad reviews. Hopefully these things will last for several years at least.
